With the threads popping up lately about PvP vs PvE I thought I would throw up a poll to find out where the community (at least on the forums) lies as far as its demographics. If you vote, please tell us why you prefer the play style / rule set you chose. I am also writing these with the...
OK read the first few replies so forgive me if this has been said. Assuming the weapon would work as in image 3 of the OP, I would imagine it would only grow to a max size, and it could only inflict damage on X amount of blocks. This could be based around its total spread/damage of the weapon...
The issue with having a cannon main with missile slave, is its very short effective range. It makes it a very difficult weapon to use in combat by a player. And all that time your trying to position and close the gap on the enemy, they are likely using longer range guns.
However. In the last...
sorry my mistake.
As for "A war is a non consensual act. Which is why it is so interesting. If you only fight with people who want to then there really isn't any real conflict."
I think that is incorrect in the current game. But if he is looking ahead to what this game could allow then he may...
After reading everything I think you may have misunderstood what the OP wants. I hope if I get it wrong he will let me know. But the way I understand it, he doesn't want to "Force" anyone to fight. He wants there to be risk/reward to the fight. Something for the winner to gain that makes the...
Ive thought this myself. I never could get into using note blocks in Minecraft due to the large number needed for most projects. But if we could select some sounds from the game itself. Like what you said about a red alert sound, maybe door sounds and other in game sounds as well as sound...
I have noticed some logic weirdness as of late. Wonder if this is related. Though I never tried to control rails with anything other then activation/button blocks. Glad to know I'm not the only one that noticed some logic stuff changed (am assuming this is a logic derp not rails).
I was thinking that it might be a good addition to allow players to name their rail dockers. It would work in a similar way to how we can name inner ship remotes. This way you knew if you were firing the right docker from your hot bar or not.
Should be a simple Quality Of Life improvement.
I had been working on my station recently and ran into a bit of an issue. I had used a rail rotator to rotate a small ship with display modules on it. This allowed me to me to make my displays diagonally (shown in first image).
Latter I added a "Command Console" using display blocks. One...
OK. Ive done a lot of reading in this thread and think I am ready to share my thoughts on this proposal.
My thoughts on the current system.
I've not personally felt that I was being held back in design decisions by the current power system. I've had some issues with #4 (Focused on regen) but...
One other thing you can check is the amount of bits your program uses by default for images. You may have to make some custom settings when making a project, then import the image into it. I had an issue with Photoshop setting some things too low for some reason. Was quite a while back but...
A few reason:
1. With a multi-member faction you will need to claim more territory.
2. Fleets drain FP and need to be maintained.
3. Sometimes you realize that the sector next to you has better asteroid spawns. (this always bothers me at least.)
4. You want to reduce lag at your HB...
lots of thread necro's lately.
Just some added info that wasn't present in the older posts, in case someone else stumbles in here.
1. I noticed earlier people said they damage shields, or they don't damage ships with shields. They actually ignore shields, and damage blocks even if the...
So "," are used for floating-pints in Germany? Interesting. I just assumed everyone would write numbers similar to me. $1,000.00 for instance.
TBH I don't think we would need them if the values were displayed like they are for mass. Where they are rounded values. Maybe when you view the...
My point still stands though. People will just use them as the standard and alter their designs to do so. Its the same thing you were complaining about with min-maxing before. Everyone wants the best they can get. If you raise the maximum efficiency bar, the standard will raise with it.
