The current issue with self destruct imo, is that it removes one of the few current rewards for winning a battle... Harvesting the other ship for parts.
But, you can make a self destruct system right now using warheads and logic. You have to manually activate it, but that is how its done in...
As long as your activation modal is next to the rail, it will get a signal anytime something moves onto that rail. You do not need to slave the rail to the activation block. Also don't slave any other rails to it unless you want them to fact the same way the rail its touching is facing.
I have seen a few others with this issue as well. I am just wondering, but did you use "Create Docking" to make the turret? or did you build each half separately, then dock the gun part to the base?
I have only run into this issue one time, and it was due to me using summitry and placing a...
What I think is kinda cool about that design is that when the drones are docked, it all looks like one ship.
I have actually not spent time messing with pickup points and rails yet. I really should get around to it.
Any part to do with launching, or loading with racks. In fact, its WAY easier to spawn in a loading rack when you have lost drones then to spawn drones separately. Another thing to keep in mind is that the new shootout rails don't fire drones out as fast as using push beams do. Which is a...
Old? Yes. Dead? NEVER !
There IS a lot of info that is still relevant here too. You just have to sift through a lot to find it. I am sure when fleet's are updated a bit more, and many of us finish refitting our ships, you will see more posts.
wait.... if "Of course target-seeking missiles will now also do the same" is correct. Doesn't that mean that this suggestion is already implemented in some fashion?
As turrets (And target-seeking missiles) will target system blocks and not the center of mass? Or am I just crazy?
I was just using a byte as an example. I am sure it would only take one or two bits. But the point was that adding data to blocks could balloon and reduce preference. I get that adding a bit or two might not be too terrible, I just wanted to illustrate that there are likely better ways of...
On the ship you want to transfer cargo:
1. Use C on rail docker
2. V on storage you want to transfer
3. Make sure the storage pull is turned off. As it will not allow things to be pulled out otherwise.
On the mothership:
1. Use C on the rail you plan to have the ship with cargo attached...
Well, I was building a Terran Battle Cruiser myself. Mainly due to not seeing any cool looking one's on the dock when I last looked... but if your planning on eventually releasing this, I wont bother. You have gone far beyond what I had planned. My hat goes off to you and your Terran builds sir.
I wouldn't mind a system where heatseekers attempted to hit "Hotter" parts of ships. I would suggest they simply target certain systems more often. So make it random, with some blocks weighted to be targets more then others. That way we don't have to increase the amount of data each block...
I love how all over the place the answers are. Good thing we don't need to come to some kind of consensus on the "Right" way to play. As we can all have our cake and eat asteroids too!
The fact that so many of us have completely different views on the game, and the fact that the game Enables...
Chose serious, due to the mindset I go into the game with. I play the game very much like I played Galactic Civ II. With a bit of MC and Survival Game thrown into the mix. SO I assume when playing that I am A. Building a great Empire B. Designing things to aid in said empire. C...
