Instanced planets have been suggested too many times in the past for me to count. The official answer is that Schema wants the players to be able to interact with planets from space, or planet>space. In short, it'll never happen. Or at least not with Schema's current final vision of the game...

Could you guys please stop bumping the thread with irrelevant off-topic posts? Unless you have a really good argument on why brown lights should be added to the game, don't post. The suggestion is rejected, if you keep bumping it the thread will get locked.

I try and fit as murderous a package in a large space ;) Yea, same here. While I have certainly built bigger stuff, I tend to gravitate towards 30k mass ships between 200 and 300m long as the thing I'll actually use on servers. Any bigger is just too sluggish for my taste.

Don't take that as an official statement, it's just the impression I'm getting since it's been what... 2-3 months now? If they didn't bother with it back then they surely aren't going to do it now that the website blew up and they have that shit to deal with.

I'm just gonna bump this, things would be so much better if the suggestion was implemented. Seriously, people would definitely interact of fight more with one an other if they didn't have to do 10 hours of slave labor to produce a single ship...

I'm pretty crappy at making skins but I'm fairly certain that making an Esdeath skin would be nearly impossible since she has a rather voluptuous figure, so recreating that on a square body would be really hard.

No, I'm saying that there was a functionality gain to jumpdrives, such as making it easier to reach new solar systems and places, and that it didn't make a difference to relative base travel times. The chances of randomnly encountering someone before jump drives was already really really low...

I remember back when there were no jump drives, people would make their bases 20-30km from spawn. That was around 15-20 minutes of straight line travel to get to. Now, people make their bases 1000km away from spawn. That's around 15 minutes of jump drive charging and jumping. So should jump...

Why not? An empty shell can be filled with optimal systems. The shape of the ship won't influence much besides armor (with cubes being the worst since they have 0 armor slopping). The idea that a ship can't be made to look good and be effective in combat is deprecated since the addition of the...
