Hey guys?
If you add a pulse weapon system to a suicide drone, the drone will try to ram enemy ships. Pulse weapons have an engagement range of zero, or at least they used to.
Just a computer and an attached block should do - I dunno if just a computer would do the trick.
Also, the best use...
All of you are misunderstanding what he means.
All armor blocks in a group (as is standard in Starmade) will *give* eachother HP - it wont be a shared pool.
Each block will have the health and armor of the whole section. On ridiculously massive chunks, you might be able to break a million HP...
I tried to increase the HP of armor in the config - it has an upper limit of 200 something. Armor is limited to 100% (invincible), so there is that to consider. Tbh, it would be easier to drop both the shield and weapon numbers to a more reasonable level without redesigning the engine again.
I don't agree with this because it forces people to use a specific effect all the time - you'd have to be power stable for the effect, thrust, weapons, etc. The idea is solid, it just breaks the sandbox nature of the game.
Wouldn't that essentially be a second shield if all armor blocks are...
First, a few reminders on balance in Starmade right now:
Anti-Missile Systems are still fairly ineffective against missiles due to their inability to lead their target, as well as lag/latency between the client and server. Fixing this is no easy task, which I assume is partly why it hasn't...
Things about Stealth everyone should probably know but might not:
1. Perm jam+cloak is considered a perma-cloaker. They are invisible to everything - except the nav screen. No, seriously - just look at nav. You'll see any and all ships and their distance from your vessel. You can't pinpoint...
Oh hey. The drama from all those folks who aren't -
Right. No drama. :D
Regardless, I'm glad this is being dealt with in a bold and up front manner. The little server dramas popping up every now and again were worrying me.
Yep, same level of excitement as the Atlantis build.
Immediately followed by the sinking feeling that my computer will revolt if I attempt to do anything while looking at the station from a kilometer out.
But excited. Yeah. Looks great :D
Increasing sector size has tons of benefits besides just allowing larger stations - it also makes gameplay with larger vessels possible without crashing servers. The only downside I can see is increased travel time via sublight engines, but we have jumpdrives. Use them.
Another note - JDrives...
I have a turret complement that I use for it. I'll add that to the download and post the individual link here. It's just a ship with all the turrets attached. Their AI is configured to attack missiles, while the secondary turrets are on selected target.
Dropbox link for the turret complement...
The turrets are mounted on a separate ship, which can be spawned in for easy replacement after heavy combat.
No changes to the main vessel in this update.
Please note that the Executor-class still looks way sexier when she doesn't have turrets attached. It is suggested by the New Republic that...
