      For what Starmade had back when the GUI was made, it works quite well. Now, with all these separate features and stuff? We desperately need an upgrade. And a reskin. The HUD is so 1990s :D

      Who whoa WHOAAAA Escalation out the wazoo! The Mass change is a formula adjustment (research, more man power). The Acceleration change is a numbers adjustment (Thruster efficiency over block count).

      I didn't make the rules, bro. That's just how they are designated. Game designers have been referring to space with drag as Newtonian physics since before I was born;)

      ....Occulsion Culling is already in the game...... He uses it to only render things your camera can see, instead of everything in the sector.

      Considering how cringe-worthy the current GUI is, I've a feeling that whatever they throw out will make me happy. On principle, I agree with the "make sure it works first" sentiment. After all, he's got 8 hours. :D

      We are using those Newtonian physics though, so technically ships can have a max speed.

      The problem isn't that ai don't see jammed ships (or not), the problem is the ai can LOCK ON to you while jammed.

      Your big guns don't matter if I can zoom behind you, outside your cone of fire. That's the advantage. And it isn't in the game, because the difference isn't all that drastic.

      We already have the lag problems caused by hundreds of turrets. Making them a part of the parent entity would really go a long way to reducing entity clutter during fights and large social events.

      Again, we are talking 30-50 small ships vs one big one. Who has that many people? I don't. The imperium does, but they aren't all online at all times.

      Pirate stations are meant to be dangerous at the start. That said, weapon ranges are completely out of whack right now. The multipliers imply a max of x2 sector size, but it's really much further.
