This game is so fcking broken, how did it make it to steam with f3 still in?

To be fair, using both the debug menu and jumpdrive with a ship built of weapons hopping around 1 shotting thing could be an issue (Taking into account the 2 'complaints' here and that that pie guy's thread in suggestions, I think someone is, probably on redshift or something). But yeah...

      NPC Fleets

Faction threads are often outdated, and not everyone has theirs listed on the site. The player base is spread out over too many servers to really tell what the average player group size is. (Since a small server with 10 friends working together, even alone with PvE, counts as a 10 man faction...

Bug StarMade Launcher Crashes When I Press Start Dedicated Server

Found an old thread that may help http://starmadedock.net/threads/cannot-start-dedicated-server-from-starter-exe.1555/ But I really don't know, normally you get an error message these days. Someone who knows the more technical side should see this before long, and maybe they can help you more.

      Database Window makes game unplayable

Everytime something is updated though, it resets and scrolls to the very top. Try it yourself on another server, it's not easy if there is people. And if there aren't people, then it doesn't show much, since it is only what's loaded. Not everyone is abusive of debug tools

Bug StarMade Launcher Crashes When I Press Start Dedicated Server

When you press the dedicated server button, the whole window is suppose to disappear, after a minute or so, a new one should pop up named the "Starmade server manager". Does this window appear?

      Database Window makes game unplayable

It's a debugging tool I think, used by devs (and server admins I think). Would be great if they could disable it for the average player, but they do know it's there. It doesn't show player co-ordinates, nor where the players are, just where loaded entities are (confirming Rimmer). Sounds more...

Bug StarMade Launcher Crashes When I Press Start Dedicated Server

Are you sure the launcher crashed? That it didn't just close and launch the server box? Gonna have to add more detail if you need help (crash messages, logs, if your on steam or not, etc). Also, why would you bump your own post after half an hour? You were already on the top of the bloody...

      More Ambient Sounds

Honestly, a slow drift, lots of little bits and a small sound if you bang into something. Other-wards quiet... the silence will get you. The Silent cries of the past crew as the ship was torn asunder echoing through space and the corpses of a once great ship laying in ruin. I dunno, that sounds...

      Advanced Blocks

With the way the game is heading, I can't really see there being a "better" option that just takes more time. Problems also come when you stop and wonder how pirate loot will be done in the future (they shouldn't carry ore exactly imho, but also not thousands of blocks, yet also anything). The...

New turret AI setting: "Fire at astronauts"

I can't see boarding being a fully fledged default feature (since not everyone does interiors, and we can't force them), but I'm sure I hear Cal brainstorming about it at least once before. Gotta consider all the all possible exploiting and whatnot. After the HP system though we might be able to...

      More Ambient Sounds

A noise to know when some things have cooldowned would be interesting (if you're not in a ship core). I would have to say no to creaking hull though, seeing as hull something you will always be around I figure it should stay silent (minus sounds like footsteps/impact). But Sound is coming at...

New turret AI setting: "Fire at astronauts"

Might be interesting, interior turrets would be nice to have, without having to worry about them getting distracted by ships over yonder (Maybe a settable max range for that AI?) Also, couldn't you just use Target selected and select asteroids? I don't really see why that itself needs it's own...

      Database Window makes game unplayable

Database... is that the - window that comes up? If people can manage to navigate it, they can find the Co-ordinates of other player ships (Lists the loaded sectors as well, a long ass list that I thought updated too quickly to use). Other than that, I don't know what you could be talking about...

A look at shield strength and weapons.

If the problem is players warping too close, unloading and then leaving, I vote we fix it so they can't warp that close, or have 2 jumpdrives to support that tactic. I'm really confused by the OP of this, since the idea sounded like "If we make shields 10x greater, people will be more willing to...

      Please stop penalizing 'roleplaying' builds

The only advantage cubes have is turn rate these days... If turning is an issue, build turrets. RP ships have lower stats, but then again RP ships don't need the stats, since they normally operate with other RP ships, so their stats are balanced. Honestly most people wanted big, slow turning...

      NPC Fleets

The problem with anything tactics like that is that servers don't load anything not near a planet, reduced Lag and RAM usage (Imagine the server lag griefing that could spread if they could). Honestly, I'm more for building outpost and small AI fleets around them (programmed not to go too far)...

      Player based Fleet Groups

Lets expand on the ideas of "Support" first, the only 3 I can think of is Shield supply, Power supply, and Astrotech after the HP system. Shield support ships - I'll be honest and say I do not expect this to be useful at all. Ships are balanced so that a large ship can't quadruple it's shields...

Faction Modules - Should be detectable

Locating faction modules affects more then just planets and stations, it affects ships as well. Sniping out a faction module on a ship basically produces the same results as sniping the core does currently, only it doesn't really work with a pilot in it. But hey, not like anyone in this...

Faction Modules - Should be detectable

Already did mate, the entire point of hiding them. Please tell me how easily locating a faction module will not simply circumvent the entire idea of the HP system? You yourself seem to be ignoring this, unless you're RP posting, and skip it because I wasn't talking to you. "Fixing" an exploit...

Faction Modules - Should be detectable

Trolls are gonna troll. You're suggestion a feature that would undermine part of current faction tactics so you can disspell a certain type of trolling, if you wanna go claim all the planets you can, it's entirely your choice to do so. Dealing with trolls is an admin responsibility. If it wasn't...
