please upload a log.txt.0 file of one of those occurences here ( just remove the .0 part and drag and drop it into a post)
and add your settings.cfg and graphcisinfo.txt files
what CPU, GPU and Ramsize are you using and what OS is installed ?
are you using the new or the old launcher to start...
Open the settings.cfg with a text editor and change those lines at the end from
PLAY_INTRO = true //Play Intro
TUTORIAL_PLAY_INTRO = true
to
PLAY_INTRO = false //Play Intro
TUTORIAL_PLAY_INTRO = false
then try again .. and dont view the tutorials
try the new launcher then .. it comes with a different Java bundled .. maybe its a newer Java<- >Win problem.
launcher in this post under windows 32bit Launcher public beta!
please place it under c:/starmade (or a similar place not controlled by the OS) and when the launcher asks for install...
i would love to give any advice .. but i cant ... non of my AMD equipped systems has a second GPU.
i did google that here amd laptop gpu switch - YouTube
maybe one of those first two videos is of any help to switch to the AMD GPU for Java operation.
your graphcis info suggests that you are...
New launcher 32 bit ? ... i assume you are using the old one?
check under memory settings (top left drop down menu in launcher) and make sure you havnt put in to big values.
i would advice to use 1024/512/128 there
Stop whining ... and make a bug report about it!
making a useless post in gerneral discussion isnt helping anyone!
only stumbled about it due to a miss click in the forum !
Delete the content of (starmadeinstallfolder)\logs
then start and crash the game again and zip everything inside that logs folder and add it to a posting here
What OS are you using? What CPU and GPU are you using and how much RAM is installed?
Ae you using the new or the old launcher?
they kind of work ... that goes to an email adress.
but i wouldnt make a bet on it that its going to be of any use.
Either make a support ticket Submit a ticket : StarMade Support
or provide a Log.txt.0 file Grafcisinfo.txt and settings.cfg files (all put in one zip would do ) and a general run...
and move the whole installation out of
C:\Users\Nathaniel\AppData\Roaming\
choose a new install path in the Launcher for it C:\Starmade for example would do nicely
Get us the Log.txt.0 file from one of those starts with that error happening.
just remove the .0 part and drag and drop it into a posting here.
the file can be found in (starmadeinstallfolder)/logs
also make sure the game itself isnt installed to anywhere like Programfiles,downloads or desktop...
that i do not understand !
screenshot is either F5 or F6 depending on if you want with or without UI
or you are using a 3rd party tool .. like Lightshot for example
the screens taken by the game are placed in its installfolder
the ipv4 change sounds like totally normal and expected behaviour of an DHCP service.
probably on your router.
cant help with that really without knowing what setup that is ... and even then i would have to search and read a manual online to give advice.
and by my luck i would explain it wrong...
creativegrey first .. please reinstall the game to another place than the programfiles folder.
in the launcher change the install path to something like c:/starmade .. to be found here
then do reuplink in the game
Cfbcm ... that is then not your world. there isnt a reason why the other folders should have been gone
check here if the game is actually installed to the path where your game did reside formerly.
i think you installed a new copy of starmade somewhere else .. and that one has then no access to...
try to play on a MP server .. just to eliminated the load on your system from generation and simulation of the universe.
see if that works better then.
if it does give me a list of your used hardware (CPU and GPU and availabel RAM) and what OS you are running
yes . it fails on loading the libraries for the procedural generation thingy ... if i am not mistaken.
so you might be out of luck (at least for now) when running this on the Pi.
But i am sure Auburn is able to comment on that, and tell you if it will work in the future
no ... its simply a game design question.
you do not want to have a basic game mechanic change unprdictable all the time.
so if mass is the limiting factor ... then for all effects that are based on that it should be the same in any event.
