Recognized by Council Invisible, Intangible Rail Dockers

I do. I have a pretty decent warship and I'm currently building a bigger, stronger one, and I have no interest in fighting another player what-so-ever. Half the reason I have warships is because griefers don't try to jump somebody that can put up a fair fight, they only attack somebody they...

You're cutting off their dockers so that people who are so desperate not to fight you that they run all the way back to their home station to try and dock to get you to stop can't dock just so you can steal/destroy their ship. Somebody turtling in their home base doesn't want to fight you...

Implemented Remove Hull/Armor Manufacturing Cube Middleman Step

Production time is equally meaningless. If they double the amount of time it takes to produce a block, I would simply double the number of enhancers on that factory to bring the crafting time right back to where it was.

      Brainstorm This Retrofit Stations

At that point you might as well just set blueprints back to where they can be bought for cash. Because its a lot easier to make 100 million credits than it is to farm up/craft the mats for a station. People would just start with a one block station and "upgrade" it without ever actually...

All the more reason to do it then. Because apparently people are griefing with the current system.

Read by Council Alternate/Additional logic options for Pickup/Shootout Rails

Huh, never thought about it before, but would putting a single area sensor block on top of the pickup rail work? I mean, the docker would HAVE to pass through it, so its 100% guaranteed that it should trigger, I'm just not sure if docked entities that may or may not contain a player would...

Recognized by Council Invisible, Intangible Rail Dockers

Ever since we switched to rails and dockers, actually docking a ship has become far more painful than it really needs to be. In ye olden times, the docking beam came from the core so you could always see it, and docking would simply position the core over the docker. If the ship had extra bits...

Read by Council Alternate/Additional logic options for Pickup/Shootout Rails

Yeah, but I can see the value here, because I too would like to have a pickup rail that as soon as something docks to it the bay door can automatically open. I can still do that if I make a long enough "porch" on the outside of the bay door for regular rails to hide in, but its not always...

      PvP Anti-Player Research

One handy trick is to admin load your ship into single player (without any defense turrets on it) and get in another test ship with missiles and start shooting it. Last I checked missiles (and ship AI in general) still targeted the areas with the most systems (after the whole doughnut ship...

      Implemented Mirror Cubes by Default

Okay, quick and simple one. Before, mirroring cubes only really applied to computers and displays. These days slabs are a much more common build element, and if you don't have mirror cubes on, bad things happen. Nothing quite like sitting back all satisfied after a long day's build thinking...

      Recognized by Council Schine/Council-run Server

This is true, or at least it is for now. Schine could easily disable the use of fan servers and use only their own servers after the alpha period ends. But I agree that people would try the free servers first, just like people will try the free samples at the mall first before going and buying...

      Humor: Asteroid Guns

My favorite collision damage story was the guy that blew up a planet on a server with CD enabled, and got smacked into oblivion by an entire continent.

Read by Council Fixing the beams

Oh yeah, for weapons it is intentional. You do not need to have the output block open to space. You can bury it behind layers of armor to protect it. Its the power transfer beams that are supposed to stop when they hit any part of your ship that don't. Or more precisely, they shoot straight...

      Recognized by Council Schine/Council-run Server

I'd like to see a lot of what we use wrappers for now built into the final game eventually. Things like bank storage for credits (had a suggestion thread a while back for bank vault blocks, actually), being able to give money directly without having to drop it as a block, etc. I've also seen a...

      Recognized by Council Schine/Council-run Server

Oh yeah, if there was an official server where only paying players were allowed in, that was run by Schine, I'd move to it in a heartbeat. It would have to be vanilla, and thats my favorite kind of server. No crazy ass mods, nothing cranked to outlandish proportions, and no worrying about...

      Planned Turrets: Target Wireless

Yeah, I'm just trying to think along the lines of "What kind of implimentation would require the least amount of work to get up and running?" Base idea of "Use turrets to automatically back up the shield and power of your fleet" is clearly the goal, just trying to find a way to accomplishing...

      Planned Turrets: Target Wireless

So, messing around more with drones (finally) and started wishing that I could power/shield them without having to take up so many blocks on the drone itself. Then it hit me, we have power and shield supply beams, and we have turrets. AI isn't at a place yet where we could stick a Shield...

Aye, that really needs to be part of the new tutorial.

Read by Council Fixing the beams

He's talking about docked reactor power transfer beams. Limit your reactor to only one beam (make sure all your modules are coherent) and then have that single beam hit the rail the reactor is docked to. That should stop it from leaking out the rest of the ship.

      Sit and Spin Mining Drone?

Yeah see thats way too long for me. 20 minutes I can clear half a ring with my current miner. I'm oldschool from when the only way to get an asteroid to respawn was to exploit a glitch where you had to eat the entire sector between server saves, so I learned to build miners that could eat two...
