      I mean, hopefully the "launcher" becomes seamless with the game itself. Ability to exit out of one install/server and right into another, changing/updating texture packs, checking if servers are up, lots of stuff.

      One of the things about the cubatom system is that you don't need any hardware. Even if you don't have any hardware, you can set up a factory system by yourself on a planet or station. With the mandatory hardware, there's no way that anyone can start from nothing.

      What do you think about the new shield system?

      One of the things about the new shield system that any admin should do is put the <ShieldRechargeCycleTime> down from 1 to .1 or .03, which means that your ship won't loose all power when it's shields try to regen. I'm really not sure why it was put up so high.

      The beams appear 10cm across, even though they exist as actual 0-width lines in the game engine. There is no reason that the beam width couldn't be increased to a full block across.

      Here's a way of fixing the overdrive and other effects to get "over 100%:" Set the effects to require 10x the blocks. Then set the effects to be 10x as strong (though you can't do that in the config right now.)

      I'm thinking the center part of the wing should be flattened, and the panels that go into the center be thickened at that point instead of going to points.

      I know someone came up with the idea of having special computers that players could enter and they would be able to control multiple weapons systems. What if we took that, and then made it so that when it was hooked up to turret docking ports it allowed player-controlled mode?

      Having the plexliter platform be variable in shape might not work. Having it be variable in size is probably easy. Also, plexlifter blocks should output a logic signal when the platform reaches them.

      Here's something that bothers me about the powergens/tanks/shields: Without a border along the edge of the block, it looks horrible when you put them next to blocks of any other type. Also, the hazard stripes could stand to be a bit more saturated (they look too pale)
