remove "vertexInfo.properties found in the directory StarMade/data/config/"
then repair the installation using the Launcher Repair feature (download selected build version)
you did hit by accident a dev key combination that causes that (no clue what it was ) afaik

What you call unbalanced is a bug ... its simply not intended to happen! .. that has nothing to do with game balance!
And the Salvage thing .. yes that is normal that it happens. i dont know if it is a bug or simply the way it has to happen because of Server - Client interaction and lag prevention.
The Block in hand thing isnt "unbalancing" ... that kind of behaviour is called a bug ;)
and the Beam lasts x amount of time ... the effect that it takes is being calculated server side ... then the effect is verified to the client ... and the blocks are removed client side. in all of that a...

there are only 2 base chamber options for ships .. if you have them both assigned on a reactor you cant assign a second one of the same type.
there are quite some reports already.
some without a clue how to reproduce.
a bunch about shipyards (and yes they are broken, question is if it is even worth to fix them before the weapons changes who may break them again)
some about turrets .. oh and Warp gates are broken too i guess.
that is a very stupid suggestion .. to fix bugs in the game ;)

As always .. logfiles of the time that did happen would be appriciated by the devs.

i might be to stupid to actually see how the blocks are placed and what blocks there are.
and your settings.cfg (install directory) and graficsInfo.txt (in the logs folder) files
YamiHikari ... i have tested it ... the shield charges .. get shown as active .. uses power. sadly however it didnt block my handlaser and the structure took damage. have to test futher ... but i think that clearly is a bug. (talked in #bugs about it)
