      What they are saying is that a smaller (not tiny) spaceship should be able to take down a bigger spaceship, even 1 vs 1, as long as the smaller spaceship utilizes better tactics and just uses their available weapons and systems better. Just like a smaller ship can beat a bigger one that way.

      Yeah I know that they can expose the bottom, I just don't find an exposed turret bottom all that bad, considering they can't aim up thaaaat far.

      Never make the bottom of a turret hull, there is no use in that. You barely see the bottom when it moves around.

      No no, not turret spam. I'm talking about lower profile turrets. :P I'm saying those look better than high turrets. A big flat disk also doesn't look great though. And of course turrets need space between eachother, so they don't get blown off all at once, but also for the looks.

      Well my idea wasn't a missile that can ignore all-shields, but only the shields of objects docked to turret docks. That way turrets can be protected by the mothership's shield, without being invulnerable until the mothership's shield is down since a bomber strikecraft could engage it easily, but...

      Haven't you seen the calculations some people have done? Weapons blow away shields in literal seconds as of now. Turrets and small craft have no chance at all to survive any hit. I do agree though that hull needs to gain way more importance in combat. Right now it's more of a decorative block...

      Just to clarify: I know what exponential means. But if shields are exponential, so must be weapons. The shields, no matter if exponential or not, do certainly need more capacity though and more regen (at least out of combat).

      Nobody commented on "Shields should always use power in order to balance huge capacities" or did someone? Capacity should matter more in combat than regeneration in my opinion. Small ships should be able to take out bigger ships, as long as the small ship actually flies better and uses tactics...

      Yeah, we need even more capacity so fights can actually last, not be over in a few seconds. Regen can be slow, since during combat you shouldn't regen much anyway, but it should be high enough so that when the fight is over you don't take forever to fill up your shields agian.

      I must say I do very much love that we now have shield generators and shield capacitators. But I do feel like the shield capacity is too low, especially on smaller starfighters or on turrets now. I would prefer if we had more capacity, but simply no regen during combat.       And why did they change shield-capacity again. It doesn't scale linear anymore, I hate that. I do much rather have a timer on shield-regen again and keep the shield-regen blocks but I prefer to have high shield capacities, so people can get some good shielding, that can actually be worn down.

      Anyone knows a work around to an extremely annoying bug? The bug being the following: The weapons are fired up in a 90° angle when you fire when you look from the core, if you use a cockpit it's okay.
