      Well the barrel should have a maximum upwards angle of 90°. And below itself.. hmm.. Not sure. 45°? Or something like that. Sideways clipping is no issue, since it only needs to clip sideays since everything in the game fills out a box.

      This has be possible and considering that the game is in the early stages perhaps schema just didn't want to focus on a complex turret systems while there are more important matters at hand.

      An automated calculated like I described a few posts above yours would make it simpler already though, since you would only select the thing you want, tell the game how much you want and it tells you how much of what you gotta put in one end of your factory.

      It could work like this: You open the crafting tree, select your wanted product and then type in how many of that you want. The game will then tell you what the tree below it looks like and how much of each you need to achieve the number you asked for. That would make it easier already.

      I wish we didn't have as many inbetween steps, like processors and all that, but could instead go from capsule to finished product. But for some advanced stuff like bobby AIs we need a special sort of shard or something like that. Just something to make those trees more simple. How is anyone...

      So much this. Please. I want this. I hate how huge and chunky turrets need to be to look any good. EDIT: That might have been in the thread, I didn't read every page and only had to skim over the OP to love it, but I'm guessing turret docking areas would be replaced by the game simply checking...

      Eh, can still sell all the mined stuff and buy your ships. Considering the crafting map trading with salvage and ore might seem to be perhaps not be faster or more effecient, but at least simpler.

      Well, overdrive only doubles the power consumption according to stats. 2 AMC blocks: 300 power consumption, now connect them to 2 Overdrive blocks and they have 600 with double the damage, just like I said so it has the same effect as just putting 4 AMC blocks on the ship, that's my main issue...

      Well I look at the weapon stats and I get the following: Two AMCs do 30 damage and use 300 power per shot. Connected to two ion blocks they do 60 damage and have a power consumption of 600, same goes for overdrive. Perhaps the weapon stats are wrong?

      Also, why would you want the ion effect on your gun if you can have overdrive? Both seem to double the damage, overdrive doubles it against anything, ion only against shield and you do no damage against blocks anymore (at 100% that is) and both raise the power consumption of the weapon.       I think Ion has a ratio of 1 ion block per 1000 shield blocks to reach 60% efficieny or something EDIT! Per 1000 capacitators that is, or something like that. Perhaps it is dependend on ship mass though?

      No what I'm saying is that if I only have a SINGLE ion block I'll still reach the cap of 60% despite my ship having WAY more than 1 block of shield capacitators and shield rechargers. So I could have just one ion computer with one ion block and have a perfectly hardened shield as of now it seems.

      Nope, it doesn't go lower either. It stays at 60% even if I add a bunch of recharges. I didn't add like a thousand tho. I had two ion blocks and placed down like 8 regarchers, still 60% efficiency.

      Is it normal that I get 60% efficiency by having one ion effect block + computer harden the shield created by 1000 shield blocks? Or is it a display bug? Does the same happen with hull hardened with the punch through effect?

      Yep. Good defaults are extremely important. It would be quite annoying for players if they had to make new ships for each server just because their balance is different.
