using push-pulse on a docked entity, and then again with over-supported push effect on one, I've managed to break server speed-cap on more than a few occasions.... so short answer is "used to be yes"
I think the best answer I can give is the same answer I'd give for e/sec : "as big as it needs to be, with a bit extra"
I take a few things into consideration:
How fast does it replenish? Straight e/sec
what's the biggest draw my ship CAN see? Every weapon firing at one, while moving in 3...
One last check: Have you checked your ROUTER's firewall settings in addition to antivirus? Your ISP might have ninja-updated your combo router/modem and ended up blocking connections....
It's an irony you say this, cause my "builds everything" factory relied solely on each factory's individual storage as a method of inventory control. I didn't notice anything "dropping" from it doing that (and each stage definitely filled up, weather with completed blocks or with the available...
Operate Logic from within docked entity related thread. might give you info.
Eazy fix is to standardise the location of cargo container in relation to a docking port.
EG: cargo container shall be centered on docking port and exactly 10 blocks back in relation to dock direction.
This doesn't...
I agree with you mostly.
Small notes: Beams have "instant travel time" if you point and they hit...they hit. period.
TheGeek007 Your best bet is use pulse as a support and tailor you "small turrets" to use less than 50k/projectile, then build e/sec to suit. Smallest bang-for-buck you'll get.
When did factories start to leak? Last I checked they just stopped pulling and producing once they were full...though they migh have still consumed power?
Logic I think. Or switch entities to activate it as an astro.
Going to add That and scanners to the OP.
Exactly the point of this thread. Please write up a bit about your ideas and plans. I hope this can be a good resource for everyone, and your contribution is valuable.
I was thinking something like cannon+50% beam with a public permisssion module next to primary cannon computer. Probably a chair there to make it obvious, some floating text from a display block telling people how to use it.
Last I checked this forced you to a view-from core pointed in the...
TL:DR I wanna make a big co-build experiment. Taking notes for future here. :P
Disclaimer: first post will be edited repeatedly to reflect thread contents. Make sure you check timestamps if yer confused :)
Are you stuck on your own build? Do you like "fixing stuff that's not quite right"...
hah, like Starmade's current client is used as a master persistant universe, and each planet redirects the server netcode to another dedicated server. I dig that.
You could take a screenshot of the planet area and wrap a scaled-down version as a mesh around the planet-render in the main server...
Only time I've noticed triggers doing lag-insanity is when they're hooked up to their controller. That was about 15 updates ago i did the heavy-testing on them so it MIGHT have changed.
If you look at the ancient station-contest submission of mine you'll see exactly what kinda lag-bombs you can...
They have mass because their stats require it. That +HP and natural DR.
If you still have that build, shoot the shit outta it with the forcefeilds replaced with areatriggers(logic block).
They're clear, massless, do the shield effect when they intercept a projectile.
if you have defensive...
