      Make planets great again

making planets non-mine-able would be a decent stop-gap fix, as implemented in many server-rules (at least in the past) > destroy them, or find asteroids, or do it 'on foot' etc... somebody will inevitabley/always/one-day try to mine a planet with oversized giant-hungry salvage arrays - this...

      Schine Bi-weekly Q&A - 15th of March

...also is Pulse being dropped? i know it has got a bad press, but it is only way to increase damage without increasing range -(therefore clear use as part of a battery of AI weapons, for example on a turret...)...what replaces that without just spamming blocks for the extreme-damage end of...

AI Controlled Weapons (Alternative To Turrets)

"1. All turrets rotate the same speed, making smaller turrets pointless. 2. All sizes of everything track/aim just as quickly, making evasive action pointless. "

Promoting Ship Interior Design (Not Using Power)

Given the ongoing state of AI, entity glitching, NPC desync, etc etc, I continue to feel 'Crew' should be very near the bottom of that list...if at all :/ Anyway, I still prefer a 'Ship' more like an Ian M Banks Culture concept (ie humanoid passengers perhaps, rather than crew) - the idea of...

      Thrust integrity Optimization

Good idea - something like 'integrity' is a good fundamental concept, but is not working brilliantly at present. Variations such as this idea would add interest and design possibilities.

Power 2.0 (new iteration): GOOD WORK !

[right hand side of advanced control menu/hud > scroll down, listed as 'reactor axis' (or similar) ... ] Integrity values presently seem to be rather irreverent at large sizes (where massive ugly system-cubes can be easily made) - and rather punishing for small/medium builds...:/ in a way i...

Power 2.0 (new iteration): GOOD WORK !

Power 2.0 (new iteration): GOOD WORK ! since nobody is saying it...including you Dev Team !!! tsk tsk > a forum-news post about the changes in original (awful) vs final power 2.0 would have been good message making. still: nice one!, looking forward to other new things and tweaks to 2.0...

      You Have Failed Us

The 2.0 changes are to address fundamental issues underlying 'everything', Many fundamental structures underlying game-calculation result in highly detrimental lag (or other varieties of weirdness) - This is particularly ruinous to enjoyable Multiplayer/Server play, whatever the state of the...

      Shield Improvements For Power 2.0

Agreed that recharge-delay is also necessary for depleted shields. Maybe a buffer is needed, so that real-time combat calculation can be sufficiently coarser grained to allow an entity to flip from 'minimum' to 'depleted' states without causing significant overall-cascading calculation load (eg...

      You Have Failed Us

Don't go so quick! :) - at least not if you have an interest in the building-fundamentals: I was highly skeptical about original iterations of 2.0, and actually enjoyed 1.0 XYZ power-threading... Much of the (justified) criticism of the original 2.0 power system is now moot (IMO)- the...

      Shield Improvements For Power 2.0

These are good points - of course we need to see how new 2.0 weapons interact before final assessment, but some re-charge under fire seems necessary. The 1.0 system could easily lead to virtually (in context) invulnerable ships - and 2.0 shield-attrition seems to address that > but maybe it has...

      Fleet Mining Wierdness

Currently I advise something like this regarding mining drones: -keep number of individual drone beams low (eg 24) and drones quite small (eg 10x12x25) -keep number of drones low (eg 8) -beware of drone launch collisions or similar - (once in a drone-spasm they might not recover until unloaded)...

      My Power 2.0 Observations

I have similar feelings: The new Multi-Dimension Stabaliser system is much, much better then Stick-Stabs - and i am sure those who suggested similar are also much happier with it. Integrity system seemed to push too much towards cubes - perhaps this needs more thought - idk what might work at...
