      Interdiction - No escape!

Sure, if StarMade was a game that could support 30,000 players at one time on one server. Sheesh, I don't even think 30,000 people play the game at one time! And StarMade has a much bigger universe than Eve Online does. This is a horrible idea and will only spoil the game for players...

      Interdiction - No escape!

This is how interdictor ships are used in Eve: Player 1 warps into a system, finds a ship they want to harass, and prevents it from jumping Player 2 warps into the system and blows up the ship that can't escape Player 1 and player 2 LOLz over the scrap heap. This is not a game mechanic we want.

      Keeping the new players playing

Players already start in their own faction. Besides, this does nothing for single player games. Also, some players enjoy being lone wolfs and not in factions. Starting on a planet is a far better idea, and adds a roleplay element. rather than "poof! I'm in spaaaaceee!"

      Interdiction - No escape!

Please... Eve is the root of all evil. I've spend over 1000 hours in that blasted game. The very thought of anything eve-like makes my sskin crawl. Okay there are some good things in it. Fine... Indicators placed on structures I'm okay with, but not on ships. Everyone wins there, except for the...

      Interdiction - No escape!

...or, instead of an interdiction module, we don't add another module at all-- just a new game mechanic. If you fire a weapon (non-astrotech or salvage beam), then your jump drive will discharge a little, preventing you from jumping. The 12-y/o brat won't get his LOLz jamming people, and the...

      Combination lock activation block

Currently, complex logic systems are needed to achieve basic (and essentially insecure) locks. However, it doesn't prevent faction (or non-faction) members from accessing doors that they normally shouldn't have access too, like, for instance, private rooms or private storage inside of a station...

      Interdiction - No escape!

Hmm.. yes. perma-stealth is hard... and the new update broke my stealth ship :( but that's another story. I can see this getting abused horribly. A medium ship killing the warp drive on a tiny warp jump ship, or noob ship. There should be absolutely no warp jamming allowed, period. It's a...

      Keeping the new players playing

Funny you should say that... I've been saying this over and over again. I want to see a new play mode in which players are spawned on a random unvisited world, along with their crashed ship (which wouldn't have a core, and would consist of damaged blocks, but could be used as a structure--I...

Read by Schine Rail docking bounding box, and "hard docking"

For those of us crazy enough to build an automated hanger bay for people to dock ships in, we need some more advanced controls to prevent ships from getting stuck: Rail docking control This block would allow a station builder to specify a the dimensions of a ship that can dock to the rail (in...

Keep controls relative to Core, not camera

Yeah, I have to agree with not affecting ship controls. I've been thinking of ways to dock large ships to space stations. Using a camera right next to the rail docker would make docking easier, but the movement controls should remain relative to the core. I can see mouse movement being locked...

      Interdiction - No escape!

So more griefing? No. Nothing should be added to the game to make it easier to grief players, period. If anything, things should be added to the game to prevent griefing, and penalize players that engage in this behavior.

      Keeping the new players playing

Well.. speaking for myself, after the rails update and finding I couldn't dock my existing ships in the same way, I stopped playing after the update... I only started playing again this weekend. There needs to be default ship dimension and mass limits, and bonuses for non-combat ships (eg, ones...

Read by Council [Logic] One-Block Logic

Yeah well, I've suggested a lock-block that would override any faction permissions to open or close doors.... which would remove the need for complex logic to open a door. Of course, somebody could just enter build mode and crack most security systems by looking at what's happening behind the...

      Interdiction - No escape!

Definitely not. Jump drives are the one way players can escape griefers and pirates. I know Eve Online has the ability to jam warp drives (as well as counter-act warp jamming). It is a very annoying feature. However, I'm okay with warp drives charging faster when being hit, and depleted when...

Read by Council [Logic] One-Block Logic

If the logic block consists of only 8 inputs and 8 outputs, then yes, a 256-byte truth table can be created. It doesn't matter the logic that's used inside the system. The first Apple computers used ROM chips with truth tables to substitute for complex logic. I know it may be hard to wrap your...

      Light wedges

The other thing I'd like to see is the texture for lights that are "off" to be made much darker. Right now, in a lit room, it's hard to tell what lights are on and which are off. This makes the use of lights as logic-state indicators less useful.

      Brainstorm This Astronaut Mode gameplay.

Well, having consumables of any kind in-game would be annoying. Although, for missiles, I do think these should be consumables.. But moving away from the idea of consumables, lets talk about the astronaut. It needs more gear: Armor (that can be colored), personal shield, and make health...

Renewed plea for fixed entry/exit of cores and build blocks

Yup, I was under the effect of gravity and everything. Problem is, the server didn't register it. The problem was, both the parent ship and docked ship were moving. You character shouldn't suddenly end up inside a wall ever, it doesn't matter if the object is in motion or not, it's a bug.

Read by Schine Inter-Server Warp Gate/Drive

Yes, that too :) Keep the aliens out. Multi-universe rifts are always a bad thing in sci-fi, after all.... and a source of epic space battles and rift gate camping.

Read by Council [Logic] One-Block Logic

I've suggested this before. This would cause less server load since the logic block could be compiled and processed without having to update multiple blocks in game. I've also suggested that the block have multiple inputs and outputs: Upon hitting "V" or"C" a number would be displayed on the...
