      Fixing idle turret lag would just postpone the lag to the start of a battle.

      I just read in the other thread that your ships use cannon/cannon. I suggest that you also use some high penetration weapons, such as cannon/pulse or at least unslaved cannon. Making very deep holes might be inefficient for block destruction, but it's very good for destroying aux reactors. Also...
