But small ships already can better dogde shots than large ships, there is no reason why the should benefit in the same way from armor than large ships. Small ships should relay on speed and small size to survive and large ships should relay on Shields and armor to survive.

I'm generally against buffing weapons even more, but on the other side if the weapons for exsample twice as powerful (and of course twice as heavy and need twice as much power) you need an half as large weapon arrays means you have more place for defence or other stuff. Just what I think.

In terms of playabillity that sound like a stupid idea, compared to a compacter builded ships of the same mass class you will suffer from the lag of manuverbillity or how good your power is defended, not to mention how obviously easy to locade your power is.
