      i'd prefer a priority list and the ai having the ability to repick targets when it can not shoot them either because the turrets movement does not allow it or the own ship is blocking the line of sight. but yes in a fight turrets should fire at stuff not just sit there trying to shoot something...

      I agree a turret should always know if it has a line of sight towards the enemy it wants to shoot or if not in which case it should repick a target that is better suited to be shoot at. And we need turrets to know what they are supposed to shoot at as primary secondary tertiary... targets.
