After much time tinkering, exploding, irradiating, and reclaiming used drones, we @ LSD have decided to develop a new chassis! This chassis will be somewhere between the Heavier drone line and our nano-drone line. This prototype features developmental weaponry, shields up to 6k, and a size...

      LSD Savannah - Massive Improvements

So this took a while due to a strange bug I had to track down. Apparently something was causing the mass to register as 39,000,000. So I had to look over the entire outside and move things about a little until that went back to 7.6k mass. Weird I know... anywho... Change log; - Huuuuuuuuge...

Having spent some time in deep space observing our neighboring empires, the Mass Entropic Technology Heirarchy, and the Wild Eel Eosine Dynasty, our R&D team here at Liquid Systems Designs has made some leaps and bounds in battleship design. It appears our neighbors have quite a penchant for...

I've been doing quite a bit of testing on this actually so let me add in my notes so far... 1. Increased Shields. This point is actually more beneficial for drones than their intended targets. Whereas before the drones shields were quite small, now they're generally large enough to take a hit...

Update: The Savannah has been released under community content! Also, major improvements are coming to it later today. Namely I found a way to increase the total drones from 30 to 40 without increasing the size of the ship at all. 30% buff to drone capacity and no extra space required!

I tried something along these lines a while back and they do shoot down most missiles. The problems I had were fairly simple, basic cannon drones were just as effective and they also targeted missiles albeit indirectly. See my Gryllos Drone or Ju Ga Drone for examples, both use cannons to swat...

I'm not sure how I feel about sharing an unfinished work but I can't say no to fans ^_^ Savannah Prototype Savannah Mk1 That's the version I'm working on this morning so it is the most up to date. I'll be finishing the back end and then adding in some more jump drives where the forward beams...

Until I finish tweaking the Savannah Light Drone Carrier I do have a slightly older model you can play around with. It should show you some of the basics as I was working them out. Actually comparing that and the newer carrier might be quite informative. =) Dune MAC edition. Edit: While...

Don't be, Carriers are actually Low on the maintenance spectrum. Consider the following... A) Drone carrier holding 100 drones on 4 large racks. vs B) Battleship with no drones but several turrets and equal mass compared to the carrier + drones. Let's look at a battle involving these two...

Thanks! Hopefully it'll be released sometime today, the 5th, as I'm trying to stuff every nook and cranny with shielding right now. There also happens to be a nasty bug i'm encountering, where I can't open the weapons menu. The systems will be linked but don't expect to be able to assign them...

Punch through beams now work, have you considered those? I'll be testing later on tonight to see if they effectively soft cap at 35 as opposed to 7. After all they fire off 5 shots and 5 x 7 = 35. I'll edit this post later with my results.

After a lot of trial and error I realized that if you make the rack vertical and then tilt it sideways it'll be flush... The catch though is that any and every block that is touching must be a solid cube, no wedges, no corners, no pentas, at all. For some reason those are slightly bigger than...

Yup, rack mounted. Might be hard to tell but the racks are actually flush with the walls, there's literally no gap between the rack and the wall itself. I always found the launch logic to be the easiest part, and seriously? I'm not the only one who built a carrier based on the SCF Procyon :p...
