Updated the Kabuto finally, been weeks now since I've gotten a chance to work on it and I finally finished remodeling the hull so it can fit the new systems. Kabuto "Rhino" version Let me preface by saying I've skipped a version here because version 5 was just an armored edition of version 4...

Tunk likely culprits; drones aren't centered in front of a beam. beam pulse combo in the first case you saw better results but not good enough. this leads me to think its the second case. how momentum effects work: multiple hits stack thier effects, but, since your ship is always trying to...

probably a center of mass issue. try aiming one beam at the center of mass, it should push alot more than 2 inches. my beams are only about 20 blocks and push for a few hu ndred meters or so.... could you share your setup? something is definitely not right

LSD Gryllos - Twin Cannon Anti-Capital

This is an alternate version of the Gryllos mk2. It has a more dedicated anti-capital ship loadout. As such it carries 4x machine guns in favor of shotguns. Being more direct it helps deal with unanticipated fast large ships. Fast moving large ships were unexpectedly strong against shotguns at...

LSD Gryllos - Newer sleeker design + Misc upgrades

The new mk2 Gryllos features better stats across the board with a revamped exterior and much needed re-balancing of the weapons systems. In addition it also boasts better thrust for streamlined maneuvers and combat orienting. This new model is a marked improvement over the previous edition with...

No I don't particularly mind you using my drones. =) more advertisement the better! Maybe someday people will actually rate them on the Community Content section. Speaking of which I should really update most of them on there :3 Project megamaid, Sweet! Well we've got the filter part down, now...

I suppose I could do a special on this tomorrow(Saturday the 3rd), was going to do weapons groups next but Aesthetics are on the list anyways. It's a pretty hefty list of things you can do in a small space though, I doubt I could fit it all in one 15 minute video. If you're looking for some...

The echoing I believe is the software turning on the noise cancel, anything below a certain volume gets muted so you don't hear things like my dog licking himself, or my air-conditioner humming in the background. It's actually a turtle beach headset, problem is I can't afford another mic of...

Someone said my name? Sorry I haven't been here lately been knee deep in work and fooling around with some editing software. That being said... The next video tut for drones is up! This one deals with sizes or classes of drones and how they generally work best in my experiences. Up next on...

So aside from work today I spent most of the morning working on different parts of my up and coming ship, which I've still got a ton of work to do on. The outside is barely even a wire frame at this point... anywhoooo.... Only 3 of the hallways leading up to this room are actually completed...

Overdrive > Explosive or if you're looking for FUN use Ion so your mini dumbfires can splat some armor. Personally I'd put vertical missiles on the spine so they dont get in the way then use cannon turrets on the sides. You can limit their firing angles by putting stuff in the way so they can't...

it's the single barrel that kills most ultra huge weapons. Split the barrels into around 4-5 and voila, but you already knew that. :P

That's one missile group at about 540 modules. Only about 30 blocks were affected. 25 cannon groups, checkerboard style about 250 modules. Total blocks affected is approaching 50. You can see the cannons chew through quite a bit more, although because there's a huge number of groups the cost...

Those lasers are always a sight to behold, if the problem is the ships you face aren't large enough try what your friend did with his lasers. More shots over a wider area as opposed to just one shot. Building a really nice weapon is always a matter of practice just like building good looking...

they take chunks for sure, but only around 15 or so blocks, an equivalent cannon setup would likely punch through most of that enemies hull. cannon cannon is better in smaller groups the large ones arent terribly impressive, try cannon damage pulse 1:1 instead of your dumbfire turrets. at the...

lol'd Small cannons are highly efficient because they cannot be shot down, hit with relatively immediate velocity (good speed + ai rarely misses), cost very little to operate, and prove exceptionally useful in a wide variety of circumstances. Missiles on the other hand will readily be shot...

Its actually a very effective launch method, as are negative launch missiles (downwards facing). You lose a bit of distance but they move far enough away from most fire that they rarely get shotgunned by indirect fire. As for efficient missiles in general are not very efficient, cannons are by...

The problem with Counter-AMS systems is that you're not actually countering the ams at all, most times a player designed AMS with eat through it all and take your drone with it. This is cause most players understand the value of not using bobby's ams setting and instead go for high volume...

Yeah the bobby thrust thing totally took me by surprise too, never realized it till I ran some speed tests with different but same mass drones. It's around 1.1:1 but if you knock it down to an even 1:1 ratio you'll probably never see the difference. The real difference is only in how quickly...
