I think there should also be some focus on the more immersive aspects of the game at some point (sound, music, GUI), I assume steam release won't mean that the game is done yet, right?

Both types of music will have a place in the game. Fast paced music for encounters, slow ambient music for exploration and building. Music while building could be a little bit more progressive, having more things going on, but remaining calm, while the music for for exploration would be better...

This would make third person mode a lot more fun to use than how it is right now, +1 :)
