    Combat specific craft are going to become massive. As in MASS. But they will have tiny silhouettes in comparison to non-combat cruise ships. Utilitarian craft will also be very minimalist, with just a tiny amount of internal space to be able to slip into the shipcore. It'll be easier to have a nice big ship that's well defended. Capships will have tiny packed in turrets and enough shields to make a phalanx weep. Defeating a capship in the future will be less about destroying the ship itself. It is more valuable intact as a functional trophy or as salvage. You need only to destroy the defenses. Turrets, drones, any fighting craft docked or escort the vessel. It's a sitting duck even with on-board weaponry. Why? Because aiming those big guns is very tricky. Even seeking missiles can be countered by a half intelligent attacker. Board and claim that craft before the captain forces it to self destruct. Or get the captain to surrender. All they have to do is de-fac the ship. Offer some generous terms (like a bribe) and then haul it off to your chop-shop. Alternatively you can make repairs and refits. I'd like to see faction warfare where old captured ships get exchanged time and again. They not only serve as trophies but also as functional line combat if fitted with the right turret weaponry.

    Facing a capship? Don't wreak it. CAPTURE IT.

    Maybe if you tried using preper English that wouldn't be an issue. All I see is wall of text and thus I'm free to interpret it as I see fit.

    Then I can hardly imagine how you have got 35mil ship with no issues and how blueprint overhaul somehow impedes it now.

    Cool story bro. How does all that thing relates to what you complain about and what I has to say about it? And what blurb has to do with it in the first place?

    So, as you said earlier, you have really small time window for playing, and to make yourself even more miserable you've now split it even thinner between multiple servers? o_O
    what blurb has to do with any of this is that i don't just join factions and beg them for ships i joined one faction and one faction only in my entire time i have have played starmade and that is starfleet and last i checked it was not illegal to play on multiple server sometimes i have little time to play sometimes i have a fair bit of time to play so really and i am not making myself miserable it is you who are making me annoyed and running my good evening now i am going to have a nice evening away from people like you.

    i had an idea while ago that seems very relevant now.

    keep the buy with credits system but dramatically increase the buying price. the idea is that the trading guild could make your ship instantly for you but will demand a huge "Construction" Fee. somewhere in the ballpark of 20-50% increase in price. this way, if you really want your ship and have credits to spare you can get it but at a high price.

    it still keeps the old system but prompts people to make it yourself

    After six hours of gameplay, I didn't really managed to accomplish anything since salvaging is much slower and some factory block rates are ridiculous (a single shield block requires like 100 capsules. most decoration costs like 75 capsules - yea, schema really wants us to fly solid bricks instead of ships)

    Nope, that's not really the future I wanted. I'll be gone from here then.
    If I ever wanted that, I would had been playing Space Engineers instead. Just saying.

    Showcase ships? The admin commands to spawn a ship are still there.
    that helps if you are an admin or if your ship is small enough to upload (upload limit is way below build limit)


    -servers tend to be about survival and battle more than building... so i suppose it makes sense that's the way the game is going too =(

    What decorations cost 75 capsules? The ones that are literally solid blocks of capsules (ingots and crystals) that were specifically said that using them en-masse was essentially gold plating your ship, by the devs, when they released them? The devs warned you they were going to be expensive to put on ships, for christs sake.

    Last time I checked almost no decoration uses more than 10 capsules (the ingots and crystals use 10). Besides the ingots and crystals, all decorations without a use only use metal mesh and crystal circuits, and then very few of those. Only the medical cabinet uses 50 capsules, but that's because it can heal players.

    you can still admin spawn them if you want to show your ship for a sec.
    But its for a greater good,its not about you.. its about the game
    i know it isn't about me lol

    -although i may have the opinion of the minority here, i doubt it is just me who doesn't want this game to have one of it's best features bogged down
    -one of the things i love about this game is that it is simple and you can just jump in and get creative with a really straight-forward block building, if i wanted to get into complex stuff that's time consuming i would play space engineers or kerbal space prog.
    -now, unless you want to play by yourself in the sb, you can't just jump in and build anymore--it's becoming more time consuming to play

    -if they are going to make it a full on survival game with mining for everything and factories all the way through they need to change the way you build ships to match-- so you don't spend hours mining and building a factory and producing blocks (it's hard to get the blocks) to just throw together a ship (it's easy to build)

    -if there's a certain way you have to get blocks, there should be a certain way you have to build, like the old thrusters in a front to back line
    (they should do this for almost all the blocks-so you inevitably end up with some space inside your ship and it is just as time consuming to build and design as it is to actually get the materials)
    -it's currently a game with an easy and fast throw it together building style and the method for getting blocks does not match

    so if you like being able to build quickly with how the build setup currently is... you are cut off and restricted by the update
    -the way ships can be built, and the effort it takes, needs to match the rest of the game

    I am worried that this blueprint system will make credits and shops virtually worthless, here is why:

    1) Everyone with any credits will immediately buy all the blocks they can afford in the shops and hoard them.
    2) Nobody will sell blocks to shops since credits are useless.
    3) This leaves most shops empty of blocks (except for the little refills from Trading Guild)
    4) The ONLY WAY to now get blocks is mine and manufacture them.
    5) All shops even remotely near the spawn will be empty and useless.

    Solution:
    Make sure credits are still valuable for something to encourage people to sell blocks to shops.
    yup, game isn't ready for it just yet

    We're seems to play on different Elwyn servers then. Because I didn't hear anything like this.
    Lol heads up. Playing on the same server. Seems you need to follow the general flow of conversation more. If you didnt hear me complaining about the new system 100 times on Elwyn than YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST seen others complain about different things involving configs, massive inflation, credits losing much worth, impossibility of making a fleet without setting up monster factories for ages, playing regularly.

    TBH I was originally drawn to starmade as it had lots of space for RP. If you would excuse the pun.
    It looked like a game which wasn't too hard and it was cool to use these epic ships that hardcore gamers make, make your own, make bases and spread influence across the universe!

    I agree with some of your points but I have noticed that you were picking parts out of large word-blocks before, so i thought to point this out to you.

    You don't have to RP being a "trader" or a "factory producer" or a "miner" anymore. There's an actual reason to do it. You don't need to pretend to be in that role anymore. In game, you ARE that role, no metagame required.

    Credits were never worth anything to begin with. They were something everyone had the max amount of with exploiting.

    There are 2 main problems with this new system:

    1. It's gonna kill diversity. You need to craft 9 different blocks for a single-colored doombrick. 11 if you wanna add effect to the gun it carries.
    You need to craft 50+ different blocks for a fancy ship that has lights, different colored sections, multiple weapon setups, and a furnished interior, and maybe even some logic?
    Guess who's gonna go out of his way to craft all of those blocks.

    2. It's gonna slow the game down tremendously. I mean the progression. For every hour spent with building, about 5 hours of resource harvesting will be needed, judging by the available resources and the required amounts for crafting as simple stuff as a single block of standard armor, or a piece of glass. And then the 100 capsule/block stuff, like, a single shield capacitator... Last time I had to spend 3 hours mining an entire planet up, just so I could craft myself 300 shield capacitators and 100 rechargers. And I wasn't even halfway to the price of the miner I did this all with. So, you gonna spend painful days after starting a new universe, so you can get a ship that won't be blown to bits instantly by the first wave of Isanths you run into. Luckily, they do not come to star systems any more.

    3. Slow game=boring game. People like mainly 2 things in StarMade (If someone shows me statistical proof of the opposite, I'll withdraw the following).
    - Build stuff
    - Blow stuff up
    Now, for either, there will be countless hours of
    - Mine stuff
    - Craft stuff
    first. More than the average gamer is comfortable with. Although this has been present ever since the crafting update, but now there's absolutely nothing to circumvent it.

    Well, typically, going from a system where you can spawn in everything you need with infinite credit loops, to where you actually need the blocks, tends to slow down progression.

    You are the type of person I was complaining about. Your free titans are boring and lame.

    Seriously, you complaining about "limiting creativity" is stupid. Go play on a build server or admin spawn singleplayer if you want, edit the server cfg so you don't need to pay attention to this. Don't crap on actual gameplay because the server you play on suddenly doesn't have instant gratification.

    The prospect of PvP rewarding the victor with salvage of the enemy ship and being a struggle for mining system bonuses when captured can just as easily make PvP more desirable. I think people with Titans may be more cautious, but players with fighters, corvettes, and small frigates will have much less to loose than gain, especially working as a team.

    At the current state of the game, I would not risk even a single shuttle.
    The "rewarding" of work time is pretty much unbalanced. For me, one straight hour of salvaging/work should at least reward people with a fighter or a small corvette (400 to 900 mass before a ship classification discussion starts)

    It adds a new dimension to faction warefare. CAPTURE. Disable and board a ship after getting the captain to surrender. The ship is many times more valuable as a new fleet asset or salvage then as a disintegrating hulk.
    1: destroy the turrets
    2: eliminate all support
    3: capture or destroy the escorts
    The captain can either surrender or sit there and try to turtle until help arrives. Just bribe him to not turtle, have him de-fac it and send him home. You have a shiney new ship that needs some new turrets and you gave the enemy a proper black eye with a patch to match.

    2. The actual act of boarding includes attempting to doing the following:
    -A constant bombardment to keep the shields down
    -Some way of getting into the gravity of a factioned ship
    -Destroying plex door defenses (even harder with the shields still up)

    A powerful (probably logic linked to fire simultaneously) 100% Stop and 100% Ion (to prevent hull damage) holding the ship in place with no shields, while a boarding party enters and gives the captain a choice.

    A) Die after we take out the core / command chair or whatever (once we get the HP update) with hand held sniper rifles

    B) Surrender, and keep the credits and a small sample of the cargo bay loot, and be given a small jump drive equipped shuttle to flee home

    The thrust/overdrive are countered by a powerful stop gun, and jump will be countered by the upcoming warp interdiction ability (however that works, hopefully as something ship-mounted)

    Getting past doors with this setup would be ridiculously easy with the hand held rocket launcher.
