Gameplay>Shipbuilding, but shipbuilding, base building, exploring, fighting pirates, fighting other players, RPing, etc.>Mining. I like starting from nothing, but the progression shouldn't include so much mindless grinding - it doesn't need to. Timegates are fine (Shipyards) but not tons of repetitive active grinding (Mining as it is now). And no, I don't like 'quick fix building megatitans' or whatever; that's stupid and I dislike it as much as the next guy. But I'd rather have fun than work - if I wanted to do work, I might as well study for the upcoming world history mid-term exam or get a job at the local supermarket or something, and actually get tangible rewards for my work.
