    Erm, not really. XD
My current future shader plans are: Get another idea, hopefully.

Why aren't these canon? much better than vanilla and it would cut out some time from development free...can you forward this to the dev team and make it permanent?

GJ btw, in case you didn't get it from the post.

    This is so awesome :)
Now if we could get 3D weapons (like solid projectiles instead of billboarded quads) - unfortunately that is not a shader thing to fix though.

a quick action shot using starmade's in-game GIF recorder (PAUSE hotkey):

i am, of course, also using FBOF:

i love the saturation and visibility improvement across the color spectrum that the mode provides, however, i think there may have been some wisdom is how schema "softened" the edges of the beams so extremely, so they would appear more anti-aliased from the distances they are most likely to be viewed.

however you proceed, i will keep using the mode, the visibility increase is a fantastic addition.

i ran into a Critical error when switching from my "Filming settings"(1280x720 rez, shading/normal bump mapping on, light quality:32, procedural background: 4096, default texture: 256) to my "Building settings" (1600x900 rez, shading/normal bump mapping off, lighting quality: 32, procedural background: 1024, default texture: 64)

i took a pic of it too

Make sure you have the latest version installed, versions previous to that would break if normal mapping was turned off.

Make sure array textures are turned off.
