1. News post is current update not Dev builds
Your perspective is entirely wrong. The mods could easily deal with people who abuse the rating system, but instead they chose the lazy road and tried to idiot-proof the system so they don't have to worry about doing their job a few more minutes every day. One or two morons abusing it doesn't have to ruin it for the rest of us if the mods are willing to deal with those kinds of people when they abuse it. Apparently, they aren't.
Wow, you know what has even more people watching? The Starmade Dock. Seriously, is it too much to ask for an official news source about upcoming features? I love MSF and their videos, really, but I don't always want to sit through a 6-10 minute video of Tom goofing off for a minute of news spread throughout the video.

The news I post are meant as news for everyone. Stuff in the dev build and things that are told to other people are coming to the news eventually. When it's actually in the game. Something in a dev build is not really a secret at the moment. The thing is, it's stuff that isn't finished and sometimes must be taken out.
I don't like doing a dev block. Because from watching other people do it, I found out that the time they take to write it is about as much time as they spent coding. It sounds odd, but it seems to be the case. The reason is, that you can't be too technical and have to express yourself with an actual narrative about what you did. I just find it something unnecessary as every information is there in the news. And new stuff is already in the dev, it will be at the next news.
The news are the news. If you want to know about the features on the dev build, you just have to hop on the test server and ask if andy is around.
Why are people insulting others in this thread? MF helps a great deal. I remember at the start of the year they and friends were basically the only people putting out videos, while others made it their job to just complain on the forums. Of course I'm involved with them, as I am with other helpful people that got in contact with me.
I don't get why there is so much negativity sometimes. I love the community, but I don't understand why there has to be so much drama.

Schema, do you use Twitter? If time is an issue, maybe it could be worth making occasional updates there so we can see what you're doing. A daily "first pass on shield balancing today" or "giving new AI a test, take a look (youtube link)" I think could go a long way.
