DO WANT!!!I got a little bored and decided I wanted to make a really tiny model of the ship. I'll probably end up putting it inside the actual ship somewhere because I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Also if anyone asks for it early this is what they'll get instead lol.
I am definitely willing to share this little fella if anyone wants.
You're just speculating. It's never really been confirmed where Shivas are launched from, as they've never been seen in game. Unless there's some obscure frame from some comic I'm not remembering. They have up to three shiva missiles that are launched from the base of the lower prong, where it meets the main hull.
The lower prong is primarily used for targeting for the MAC and for long distance communications, and to provide some extra armour.
I love stargate and approve the colonel Shepard gif.
That's one awesome build you've got there.
The information which I found that from was on the page about the frigate - specifically the layout of the ship and where things were located. You're just speculating. Although MACs were used to drop shields of Covenant ships, that was hardly their intended function. They were hull damage weapons first and foremost, and when Covenant invaded the UNSC just had to make do with them. As such I would forgo ion for either explosive or punch-through.As for what weapon to use for the weapons I'd go with a Cannon/Beam/Ion for the MAC and then Missile/Missile/Explosive for the Archers. That would match canon most closely, as MACs were generally used to drop shields and if the target wasn't destroyed outright swarms of archers would finish them off. You could also go Cannon/Beam/Pierce if you just want a super high damage shot that breaks through a huge number of blocks.
I was so confused at first until I looked at the web address. That non-canon bullshit is 99% trash and 1% recycled horse-cock. I mean, you do you, but be aware of what you're pulling from, m80.The information which I found that from was on the page about the frigate - specifically the layout of the ship and where things were located.
Remembrance-class Frigate
"The heavily armoured bow of the frigate was split into two sections, the upper and lower prow; the upper housing the frigate's Magnetic Accelerator Cannon and the lower containing the nuclear missile launch tube. Both prows also featured numerous antennas for sensor and communication systems."
Is an excerpt I took directly from that page.
I never said that that was their intended function, but thanks for the input. Who cares what they were designed to do? The way they were actually used was to alpha strike an enemy ship, and if the ship wasn't destroyed to swarm it with Archers.Although MACs were used to drop shields of Covenant ships, that was hardly their intended function. My point being that while MACs were the main shield-dropper of the UNSC, they weren't particularly effective for the task, which is why using Ion effect for them just feels wrong for me. Not to mention that firing a MAC at an unshielded ship really ought to leave as big a hole as possible.I never said that that was their intended function, but thanks for the input. Well, it's not like there are a lot of different sources of information on the ships and that was the most detailed so I just went with it :/I was so confused at first until I looked at the web address. Thanks! I'm a little sad that with the most recent update, the brightness of all the lights got changed so some lighting on the outside of the ship is pretty dampened out compared to what it used to be. Was just things like spot lights to shine on the UNSC logo on the engine nacelles and the lights that illuminate the Ship's name when I decide to put that on there. For me the important thing is, it inspired you to make this awesome version.
Canon or no, I like it!
Keep up the good work.
