the 1 st and only 'drone' in the Animal Series, the Vole was at first uniquely constructed to serve as a drone ordinance for the Leopard Class Corvette. while not a very destructive force on its own, it's compact size, ease of construction and high speed make it an ideal 'filler' vessel alongside dedicated fighters that are attached to any carrier of any size.
while somewhat outshined by the Stoat Class Fighter, the Vole still serves its purpose as a ship meant to help harass and soften up targets that are already under heavy fire.
