While space is heavily populated with massive planets many consumers lament the empty skies. For you see many hail from worlds with another orbiting body, namely a moon. While under normal circumstances creating a moon would take millions of solar cycles and could be incredibly risky to place in orbit. Fortunately Schemadyne's Rail Tech has allow us to create the next best thing. Presenting the Moon-Orbiter and Artificial Moon!

This system utilizes the new Rail Technology that allows objects to be rotated and moved. The Orbiter itself is merely a ship capable of operating inside the molten core of planets. Simply creating a rail line downward into the planet is enough to install the Orbiter. The orbiter itself is designed like a turret to enable reorienting the orbit to better fit the planets spin. Once installed dock the Moon to the floating dock in space and follow the instructions to activate the orbiter. If done correctly your new artificial moon should be spinning around your world.

As a courtesy to our customers we've even included a Sector snapshot file along with all orders. This snapshot includes a planet with a pre-installed Orbiter.

    Installation Instructions
    Importing a Sector
    1. Place the "Earth-Planet-Moon.smsec" file into the sector-export folder in your starmade directory. If you don't have one then you can simply create one.
    2.Load up your game.
    3. Type in the command: "import_sector Earth-Planet-Moon [X Y Z]".
    (The [ ] indicate the sector coordinates. example: -15 45 -88)
3a. You will need admin rights in order to do this. If you are on single player then you automatically have admin rights.
3b. In order to import the sector you have to select a sector that is unloaded, ie. you can't import it in the same sector you're in. A distance of about 4 or 5 sectors away from you should be enough.
    4. If done correctly then you will get a sever notification telling you that the import was successful.
    5. fly to your new planet with orbiting moon and enjoy.

Installing the Moon-orbiter on you're own planet

Warning! Planets while hollow are solid to astronauts. Whatever you do do not get out of the orbiter while it is inside the molten core, you could potentially get stuck and have to suicide in order to escape. I recommend docking another ship to the plate first in order to access the orbiter without trouble

For best viewing Crank your Max segments up. Planet's atmospheres tend to obscure objects in orbit despite how close they really are.

Five thousand stars for the idea !!
Five stars even if i didn't tested it yet... Five stars for the idea... Change the moon hull to lava, and you'll have kind'of a personal sun...
    Any way, love the idea.
