If you play here on a regular base, it might be a good idea to register there so you can get involved with Windoom\'s development and its community.



Also, I\'m almost done with the other logo for Windoom Starmade, going to change a few small things (shadowing, smoothing out the fire effect, some small tweaks to the font) but this is pretty much the idea:



As you can see by looking at the big font, we keep the good old classic FPS in our minds and hearts :D

Yeah, pretty unfortunate.

We have to wait till the host (Azza) sees it and restarts the server, this can take a few hours.

We\'ll soon be running an auto-restart script that\'ll ensure that the server will restart on its own, based on a schedule though. It is currently not possible to detect server-crashes because the javaw process remains running and doesn\'t terminate itself after a server has crashed.

Maybe set it up so it checks if the server .exe is running and when it fails it will start the server .batch again?

Just and idea to increase uptime!

Big problem in our case is that we don\'t have a single java process running, for example we are hosting a minecraft server too.

If we would check the java proces, it would remain on even if the server has crashed.

If we would force close it, it would affect everything else as well.

This means that our solution is becoming a bit more complicated than in most general cases, but we\'re onto something, so sit tight



For now, the server is up, go play and enjoy!

Some fantastic news, we managed to get auto-restarts working for most common crashes!

So down-times should no longer be a huge issue, at least not so often anymore.

The rare type of crash where the server simply keeps hanging still needs a solution, but it\'s not frequent at all.

I try to logging but a Error apied and says \"DisconnectExpeption:You have been disconnected from the server (either connection problem or server crash) ActualException: EOFEException\" And before 2 hours (I think) it was fine
