VFW Ship Design Contest! A winner is YOU!

My heart filled with spite upon falling under the harsh criticisms of MisterVec\'s \'crispify\' feedback setting, instead of \'correcting\' my so-called \'foolish\' design ideology I set about creating a grotesque charicature of the recommendations. After venting my impotent rage at the firing range (which most assuredly did not include space toaster effigies) I had my design team create a proper, full scale, non-functional mock up of the practical alterations garnered from the feedback.



In case it wasn\'t clear in the spiel above, this isn\'t an entry. I just wanted to share. :D

Verkit Industries has designed and created an entry for the VFW contest, and it has been named the \"Bangstry\", which the very definition of is \"Masterful Violence\". Here are some pics:

Ignore the ships in the background. It was built in a cluttered area.

In this next picture we can see the entrance to the Bangstry, along with the docking module for an omnidrome. (Not Included)



Next is the weapons maintanence room, whichis the first room upon entrance:



Now, the main control room, featuring desks! :D

And finally, here is the main cockpit, along with a snazzy yellow chair! Due to power issues, Verkit Industries techies had to design special power-generating carpet to line a strip on the floor of the cockpit:

VFW Contest Corvette Wasp


The stats are:

Length 85m, Height 19m, Width 26m

Mass 1,936.4 (Blocks 19,585

10 x Antimatter Cannons (4x 250.4, 4x 255.5, 2x 258.0) there is room for alot more weapons but I had power issues so I removed them lol there still some power issues when flying and firing not all cannons will fire.

8 x Salvage Beams

9 x Cockpits

4 x Turrets 13 Antimatter Cannons on each turret (Controls for turrets under the lights on back of turret : Blue=Faction, Green=Weapons Computer, Red=Bobby AI) The turrets also have small thrusters so they can double as automated ships. (I left out all the faction moduals on the turrets and the ship.

3 x Fantail Drives (which also double as the antenna for the kick ass radio) after I was finished with the ship the 3 fantail drives remind me of an oreo cookie of sorts lol

4 x Living Quarters or what ever you want them to be (Not Decorated) Not very versed on decorating yet. the possabillities are endless!

The turret enhancers are in the floor of the front right room just so they are accesable to be moved inside the haul so a person knows where they put them the haul is really thick so there are lots of places to hide them out of sight

The turrets are the same ones I used on my first entry but they look like they belong on this ship they are the right scale

No Pictures (It\'s a surprise) It\'s really sexy and i don\'t wanna be charged with distributing space porn lol

I really need to learn how to use the advanced building tools all my ships have been made using just the normal building tools a lot of it was done one or 10 blocks at a time I design as I build lol

and the only reason the ship is 10 meters too long is the fantail drives were the last to be installed and needed more thrust sorry aobut the extra length

I made the Hull 60m long thinking 15m would be enough for the fantail drives.... I was wrong lol. Thrusters can be removed to make it 75m long but if you get too close to a planet you would be stuck lol



oh rats i forgot to round out the edges around edges the fantail drives sec...

ok done Download Ship please let me know if the faction moduals pose a problem i forgot to remove them on this update mine you the first version of ship will work an dthe only change i made was rounding the edges of the fantail drives

I apologize for the late release; we encountered a few setbacks during the production process. A handful of workers unionized and went on strike. Coincidentally, some unionized workers passed away in an unfortunate accident during weapons testing some days later. Mistakes were made.

Future updates of the Wespe may include:

• Docking areas for escape pods and omnidrones. These were not deemed necessary on the first production model as true captains go down with their ships. The Wespe is unsinkable, anyhow.
