The UCS is a conglomerate company founded to colonize the vastness of space. We primarily deal with constructing a wide array of space faring vessels for the civilian market to fit any budget. These starships include freighters of various size, design, and role as well as civilian escort craft.

The UCC is the military branch of the UCS. They're tasked with the protection of all the United Colonies. UCC ships are built and hit like tanks and all UCC ships feature entirely reinforced structures, many weapon systems, and full interiors. Since the ships are not built for the civilian market (but I'll provided downloads anyway) cost is not a factor.

    UCC Specific Thread:

The Freight and Hulling Branch of the UCS deals with cargo freighters of all sizes, if it needs to be shipped across the galaxy or to the next system over UCS has a solution for you.

    #Freight

The Salvage and Mining Branch builds mission specific freighters for either mining or salvage operations.

    #Salvage

UCS Medical Sciences is the best in the universe. This branch has access to medical facilities, research labs and anything pertaining to humanitarian aid that a growing colony needs to survive.

    The Show Room Floor:

Here you can see our various shuttles for sale. There is a light, standard, and heavy version as well as their armored brothers for those who have money to burn. The heavy shuttle is the only version with small defensive Linear Antimatter Batteries. The light shuttle is 2 meters shorter and the the heavy shuttle is 2 meters longer and wider than the standard version. The ship cores have been placed for optimal ease of docking which are L2-1, L3-1, and L4-2 respectively.

(I don't want to upload these all individually so I probably will make a zip archive of all 6 for download. Close ups and stats will be in a reply to this thread)

The FR-2226-A1 Llama (Deep Space Cargo Freighter)

The Llama is the smallest dedicated cargo freighter offered by the UCS, it\'s equipped with two Linear Antimatter Batteries for defense and is designed to be operated by a crew of two, not counting dock staff to load and unload cargo. The Llama has all standard sensor and communication equipment needed for deep space travel

The FR-1250-A2 Stork (Short Range Tow and Freight Carrier)

The Stork was custom built to haul turrets from shops to nearby star bases (before I knew I could buy them anywhere). It has a stock capable of carrying four L4-2 turrets but this easily can be expanded to carry larger turrets. The main dock is capable of carrying all sorts of small craft as well as having an auxiliary docking port to carry small self powered shipping crates. The Stork doesn\'t come stock with any weapons but the turret hauling mounts can just as easily be used for defensive turrets.

    Mass: 125.0
    Length: 29m
    Height: 10m
    ?Width: 21m
    Thrust: 126.7
    Power: Standard
    E/Sec: 9610.8

    S/Sec: 825

    Armaments: None

Due to the Storks nearly 100% reinforced structure needed to tow ships and haul freight it is a favorite of pirates to modify and use as a impromptu gunship. Pirates will often slap a few AMCs on a Stork A1 as they are easier to get as well as equip turrets on the hauling points. However due to being a freighter the cockpit isn\'t properly armored and makes for an easy target.

Llama is probably my favorite, Also i like that you made a pirate version of the stork. Keep up the good work, its nice to see some civilian ships once in a while.

The cockpit is slightly reinforced over the stock model, additional reinforcements would either require scraping other ships or access to resources pirates do not have. They don\'t have heavy shipyards so they quickly mount whatever they can to ships they capture slap on some red paint and get to the raiding.

Planet colonization is a dangerous job so the UCS has dedicated medical facility ships and transports to rush aid to where it is needed. The bulk of the UCS medical fleet consists of small medical transports simply known as...

    The M-805 (Medical Transport)

The M-805 is has medical resources on board to administer first aid?, perform basic surgery or keep you alive long enough to get to a medical carrier, field hospital, or a station/plannet with dedicated medical facilities. The M-805 was designed to optimally fit in an L5-3 docking platform and features a flat bottom, 3 large access doors, and built in ramps for being able to easily land and accept casulties. The two high mounted UCS ion drives give the transport plenty of power while remaining clear of access points. The hull is also cunstructed from re-inforced armor because these often serve as medivacs in hotzones.

Stats: (not like they matter, it\'s an ambulance)

    Mass: 80.5
    Length: 19m
    Height: 11m
    ?Width: 15m
    Thrust: 176.1
    Power: Standard
    E/Sec: 3778.4
    Shields: 6712
    S/Sec: 447

Armaments: None, are you kidding me? We\'re here to save lives not take them!

Cost: 1081350 (Reinforced armor makes it expecive but are you going to pinch pennys when it comes to saving lives? I do also intend to release an economy model made from regular hull)

I\'m particularly fond of the medical transport. We\'ll need to appropriate a few of those in the future! Great use of aysymetry on the salvage ships as well. A gem to be sure!

Your ships continue to amaze me, especially your more civilian-orientated line.

I\'ve updated the main page with all the UCS branches so I can keep it organized with flags and whatnot

Eventually the main post will contain thumbnails only to keep the size down and link to replies with all the info

The UCS M-6742 Nightingale (Mobile Field Hospital)

The Nightingale is a self propelled flying clinic. It has all the medical facilities on board to attend the needs of any backwater colony out there. Like her little sister the M-805 she has a flat bottom and built in ramps suited for landing and loading of the sick and injured.

Standard hospital beds and monitoring equipment?:

ICU with two imaging/ recovery chambers:

One of two OR\'s equipped for dealing with the more serious cases:

The Nightingale also features work space and living quarters for medical staff and the flight crew on the upper deck.

Would be so awesome for RP.

Edit: I just thought... It almost looks like there is a ship that is actually holding the main body. Don\'t know if that was intentional, but it\'s quite cool.

I really love your stuff Sven. All very inspirational, and I love the fact it\'s all very plain yet detailed at the same time. Also the fact that it is very man-made looking. It\'s pretty easy to see a lot of thought goes into your ships.

Thanks, I\'m not much of an artist so I lean towards utilitarian designs and finding a good balance of form and function. I\'ve seen ships that just look to busy like the creators are so afraid of looking plain that they go overboard with details.
