The shape is bang on, but I would detail it a little more, make it look a little more... 'alive'

I'm pretty good doing shapes but my details skill is pretty bad xD, a friend of mine wants to edit the ship hull and detail it, i will show it here when he finish it

agreed, the way things look right now, I would have mistaken it for a toy

Take a look at the work from famous builder and try to imitate the cool things you see. Then you'll find your style and do it your way.

Could use some work on the weapons color. I see a lot of plain white shots, but the basic rounds in homeworld are yellow. I would also suggest that you make the bomb launchers into missile/partial cannon or possibly just missile. It looks better, and better reflects their role and effect on targets.

One good technique to create some depth in the hull and really break up flat areas is to put in a one block deep line in between sections, to create the illusion of panels.

Made a quick video of josemik's ships VS my Wip Hiigaran ships. .... was cool for a few seconds... then Starmade's AI happened.

His destroyer never even joined the fight, it just kinda started fly upwards towards nothing and never stopped.

Hey i'm doing the Taiidan Heavy cruiser, its pretty detailed but i need more time because its pretty BIG, i will show progress when i reach 50% of the ship hull

Nice Skal-Tel destroyer. What size is it? 1:1 the original game or did you make it a custom size?

The Taiidan fighters are all already done earlier in the thread (no offense), as was the Sajuuk-Cor ion cannon frigate, but I do like your mag-focusers on the front. Mine didn't glow. The fighters seem a little chubby in the screenshots above. Are they also 1:1 size versus originals?

to all: please review the rest of the thread. We have several ships done already, and it will speed things up a lot to not duplicate work that's already done. The 6 fighters done already were tested previously on a multiplayer server and did really well inside a battlezone sector that was sealed off. The time is near when we'll be able to bring HW live onto a server and have both sides going at it from across a sector (or even 2, perhaps)

A lot of the older work is very outdated. If someone wants to build a ship, let them. Its about the love of the ships, not trying to make only one version of a ship.

How are any of the older ships "very" outdated? All that I've seen have the newer rail turrets (if they have turrets). There's been no other major update that would render a BP "outdated", yet. Please define what you would consider "very outdated"?
I love building, but this thread/project is a divide-and-conquer effort so we all can get HW ships into SM and start playing and enjoying them as soon as possible. Endless tweaking, perfectionism, and epeen will kill this project and our community. We create a template. Players will enjoy customizing them all later on.
Also, awhile back in the thread, you mentioned HW1 was your primary interest, and that you had quite a few HW ships SMEDIT'd and finalized and working well in SM. Got that download link yet to all those?

Hey any y'all wanna team up and make something really cool? I've recently scalped all the obj files from HW, HW:C and HW2 and have been importing them into STARMADE.

A little color, a little smoothing out and they look pretty good =D

Aye, SMEDIT is useful to get the size and overall shapes correct, but then requires much smoothing and interior hollowing before filling with systems and finalizing. Personally, I want a nice cockpit in all the strikecraft at the end, so then I copy-paste the whole ship to move the core into a good place in the cockpit to enter/exit.

I Knew that the fighters and some frigates were already done, but I was building the frigates already when i found this thread, i just wanted to share my blueprints with you all and keep going building the taiidan ships

There can be minimal power and engines to allow movement and a rail docker to dock to station for refitting.

I am slightly confused... so you want all the hiigaran, somtaw and Kushan shells? or just the ones you listed? Out of curiosity what do you plan to do with them?

I can provide a few of them if you like and if I have time... I have all the HW, HWC and HW2 assestes. As well as tons of custom content from the HW mod community.
