    Hello there,
as some of us cannot easily join the Official Testserver to examine the stations in place,
we now offer a quick and easy to use 'import-set' to create a local copy in your single-player world or also on your server.

The download contains all submissions in the state they were imported on the Official Testserver.
With this you are able to freely '/change_sector', record a video or just play around on the stations without anyone disturbing your work.

Download the "Station Contest Import Set" here.

Installation instructions quoted from the included file:
Copy theese files into your Star-Made directory.

Now launch the game in single player mode and
    issue the following command:

    /import_sector_bulk sc.txt

A few seconds later, you have all stations
in the exact coordinates as on the voting
    threads.
Should be pretty easy to handle. =)

    Also attached: 5 PDF-Docs
As a printable reference for your tour around the stations, or for the second screen to navigate through the imported set.

    Station Contest - Stationlist - All.pdf
    Contains: all submissions (Full list)

    Station Contest - Stationlist - Trade.pdf
    Contains: all 'trade' submissions

    Station Contest - Stationlist - Neutral.pdf
Contains: all 'neutral' and 'abandoned' submissions

    Station Contest - Stationlist - Pirate.pdf
    Contains: all 'pirate' submissions

    Station Contest - Stationlist - Map.pdf
Contains: 2D placement overview on the locations and zones.
(This has still the original submission names)

On visiting many stations I notice that most are missing their turrets. Is this by design or was there a problem? It's a fresh install and I don't see any drifting about so I can only imagine the sector import itself was missing the turrets.

the first version of the /save command that had station save enabled did not save turrets.
that was a bug that got fixed.
but people did not seem to have checked there own saves by reimpoting them!

don't worry Achriel, for me, and I'm assuming most, the turrets did not effect my decisions one way or the other in the slightest. Plus, you'll more than likely be able to update your station if it is chosen.

Some were sent in in different file-formats, some didnt even contain turrets, some also seemed to be built with 'ignore docking' active, as the dock areas were default size and the turrets that dropped of were twice to triple the size.

    Interesting fact:
They were saved, but not loaded.
    So most saves were ok.
Reimporting the uploaded content was the most error-reason, had a few submissions that contained a wrong blueprint or only parts of it.

Will the winner stations be fixed? IE Turrets replaced and the chance to fit things like Ice Wedges?

Yes, they will be refined if needed.
I'm not sure about the details, but this may involve the original creators to adjust parts or be realized by someone else with the needed skills and/or time. (No fixed plans yet.)

I'd be fine with making a custom 'fork' of my station. I think most of the designers would be happy to tweak the winning stations into line for the sake of balance etc. I'm sure the staff is busy enough let alone retro-fitting 15 stations.
