Oh good. On your Twitch stream, your computer seemed to be having trouble with what I'd have classed as a frigate.yep that'd be fine
You might want to start considering your ships by the lowest common denominator - most folks don't haul around 300k mass ships on servers, much less 100k mass. It gets complaints from people who have slower PCs and also just destroys FPS and causes Server Lag in the event of a fight.Oh good. ... what I want to submit is what I'd consider a cruiser.
It should be finished by tomorrow evening.
The thing is, I measure my classes by length. They are also 1:1 models of spacecraft from my WIP webcomic. You might want to start considering your ships by the lowest common denominator - most folks don't haul around 300k mass ships on servers, much less 100k mass. Though I really like big ships.....
i used to do the same thing. I actually used that system (or something eerily similar). Thing is, noone brings anything above a destroyer anymore, and the MFleet server has a size limit of 800 to stop oversized stuff that eats CPU and RAM from low-end PCs. I dunno. I have messed around with Battleship and Dreadnought sized ships, but I've only seen a few of them built. I highly doubt anyone has built a ship over 2k meters completely as of yet lol.The thing is, I measure my classes by length. They are also 1:1 models of spacecraft from my WIP webcomic.
My classing system:
<20m: Fighter
20-50m: Gunship
50-100m: Corvette
100-200m: Frigate
200-500m: Destroyer
500-750m: Cruiser
750-1000m: Battlecruiser
1000-1250m: Battleship
1250-1500m: Dreadnought
1500-2000m: Titan
>2000m: Supertitan

I hate to bring this up, but this not a very good classification system.
