Moderators have to sign a NDA, as they are given information which is not available to the public.

Steam has their own forums and the users tend to stick to them. Don't expect all of the new Steam players to come here.

Even if only 1% of the steam forum users come here, that'd still be a huge amount.

StarMade was approved as an alternative to Space Engineers on alternativeto.net.

It was approved too late to be in place for the end of the free Space Engineers weekend on Steam, but at least it's there now.

The devs should probably get in contact with the owners of alternativeto.net, so they can at least update the game icon. (Currently it's the seven-point star with the letter "M" in the middle.)

Feel free to send me a pm with any other games you'd like me to suggest StarMade as an alternative to.
Example: I'd suggest this as an alternative to Star Citizen, but ironically, they don't have Star Citizen listed yet.
Another Example: Blockade Runner is on there, and StarMade is already listed as an alternative. (Sadly, rather far down the list of alternatives.)

Yeah, it is a little odd isn't it? :p I have past moderation experience at Cube World Forum and I was recently approached with this opportunity and I just couldn't turn it down.

It'd also probably be a good idea to mention that I'm not just some muscle they brought in, I actually do enjoy the game a lot.

Also, a big "64 bit java is strongly recommended, uninstall your 32 bit java (link to java)" on the downloads page would prevent half of the "starmade doesn't work" threads.

Uninstalling 32-bit Java in favour of the 64-bit version isn't necessary, both can be installed simultaneously.
