Character name: Nitori Kawashiro
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Personality: Tries to be as agreeable as possible in order to make dealing with others easier, but has a certain degree of arrogance and perceived superiority rooted deep in all of her actions. Legitimately believes that she is the most intelligent individual in the room when discussing anything relating to her former occupations, even if such assumptions aren\'t substantially backed.
Bio: Nitori Kawashiro, better known by her nickname \"The Kappa\" among the circles she was commonly seen in, was from an early age gifted with an incredibly talented mind for engineering and technological studies. During her childhood, her intellect served as both a blessing and a curse, as while it granted her incredibly good grades through school (for example, at age 10 she\'d already built her own airborne AI drone as a science project), it distracted her from ever understanding why she was outcast from those her own age, those who she regularly condescended for what she thought was deliberately demonstrated ignorance in comparison to her own ability (Nitori never did, and even now hasn\'t quite managed to grasp that an intellect like hers was an exception as opposed to the norm).
As she progressed through her life into the realms of higher education, her intellect blossomed even further (this only exacerbated her previous issues with socialising normally). During her first few years at an engineering university on Victus, Nitori had already mastered both the fundamental and advanced principles of space flight, energy and kinetic weaponry and applications, life support for extended range space craft, advanced sensor imaging and practically aplicable countermeasures and efficient proceedures for mass component fabrication to name a few of her specialisations. Of course, higher education is not a cheap level of education to obtain. Within her first year at the university, Nitori had already contacted quite a number of organisations who\'d taken an interest in employing her as an unofficial consultant engineer as a result of the local publicity her projects occasinally received. One of the most notable of these was a small paramilitary fleet on Victus known as the Gensokyo Armed Forces. This group, consisting of a few hundred trained soldiers and a spaceborne fleet of approximately a dozen combat capable vessels (the approximation stems from some of the vessels having been old or decommissioned naval ships, thus their true combat effectiveness was questionable at times), approached Nitori, or \"The Kappa\" as she\'d advertised herself, with a rather lucrative job offer: design and oversee the retrofitting of the GAF fleet into a fleet more capable of holding it\'s own in a suspected upcoming interstellar war.
Nitori, blinded by greed and excitement at the time as to the possible risks and ambiguity involved in the job and the GAF\'s true intention within the war, lept upon the chance to fully exert her years of accumulated knowledge in such a visible application. With her aid, the GAF fleet was retrofitted in under 3 years from what may have once passed as a lightly defendable trader convoy, to a fleet of 12 undeniable warships with the firepower to take on at least twice as many vessels of the same size. Of course, not all of the weapon blueprints and materials utilised were aquired by Nitori through legitimately legal means, but at the time the backing of a couple of armed soldiers under her command meant that she was never really met with any non-compliance from equipment dealers. 2 years after Nitori finished her contracted work with the GAF fleet retrofitting, the war the GAF had predicted between the Eternia fleet and the various splinter groups within the population of Victus broke out. The GAF, being a paramilitary organisation at it\'s core, sold it\'s services to whoever was closest with the biggest paycheck. Needless to say, the Eternia fleet was not the highest bidder.
During the final few conflicts that would define the civil war, Nitori had been hired on by the GAF once again to carry out on site maintainence on the most complex vessel of the GAF fleet, the electronic warfare cruiser Moriya (which also served as the flagship of the GAF fleet). The GAF had before then played as a key group in orchestrating a number of raids on various facilities key to the backing of the Eternia fleet, setting the Eternia military campaigns back anywhere up to 6 months on some fronts, and as a result the Moriya and it\'s escort frigates had been pursued for quite some time with the flagship suffering extensive damage to it\'s more sensitive sensor arrays. As a result of this damage, the Moriya\'s onboard electronic countermeasures had to be taken offline for a period of 8 hours for repair, with the remaining escorts screening the cruiser behind one of the moons orbiting Victus. While the escort frigate Aya had enough countermeasure ability to mask the fleet from long range sensor pings, it is believed that an Eternia turncoat within the fleet used the damaged communication arrays onboard the Moriya to contact a nearby Eternia briggadier patrol, broadcasting an approximate location of the Moriya and it\'s escorts to the Eternia fleet. Due to the extent of the damage sustained by the Moriya and it\'s escorts as well as sensor interferance due to proximity to the moon, the GAF fleet was unable to detect the approach of the Eternia ships until such a time as they had contacted reinforcements, allowing the Eternia fleet to cut off any viable means for the still damaged Moriya to avoid conflict. Once the Eternia fleet engaged the Moriya and it\'s escorts, it became painfully clear to the GAF that without a drydock to repair at, the remaining GAF vessels were going to be hopelessly outgunned by the Eternia ships.
Due to the flagship status of the Moriya within the GAF fleet, the Eternian fleet correctly assumed during the brief conflict, that the Moriya would likely have most if not all members of the GAF high command on board. As a result, the integrity of the Moriya was maintained long enough for Eternia boarding parties to infiltrate and capture a very large majority of the crew, including Nitori, for interrogation and imprisonment under the charges of high treason, piracy, terrorism as well as a number of other smaller war crimes. Fortunately for Nitori however, both on public record within the Eternia military and on employment record within the GAF, she was known only as \"The Kappa\". This led to her being sent with a majority of the Moriya crew for immediate imprisonment on board the Hail, as opposed to being imprisoned for life in a maximum security interrogation cell on the planet, as would have likely been the case had she been correctly identified (during her career, \"The Kappa\" was a mastermind for many on world war heists, all part of her employment within the GAF).
Onboard the Hail, Nitori managed to quietly acquire enough small electronics and \"borrowed\" ship components (just cabling and small power cells, nothing like hull plates or power/weapon blocks) from a couple of computer termials which ultimately aided her in constructing a slightly unstable, one-time use optical camoflage device concealed within her prisoner\'s uniform. She had intended to wait until the Hail made planetfall for prisoner transfer and use the device to sneak away as the vessel unloaded. That plan then changed when the Hail came under attack. With various rebel and pirate groups liberating their bretheren from Eternia hands, Nitori seized the opportunity to hide herself onboard one of the rebel vessels boarding the Hail and eventually departed her unknowing saviours at the first drydock her ride stopped at. She has since maintained an incredibly low profile in society, undertaking small civilian contracting jobs under various false identities, in the hope of one day aquiring enough resources to construct a long range cruiser she\'s designed, the \"Candid Friend\", and with a civilian space flight license or equivalent valid for long enough as to avoid arousing suspicion (stolen or not, she doesn\'t really care), she intends to escape from Eternian territory and possible prosecution for her crimes, content to live a life among the shadowy fringes of society where the crimes of \"The Kappa\" may never haunt her again.
Plans once you\'re in the server: Construct the \"Candid Friend\" (may prebuild for catalog import if the server allows), carry out freelance ship/station construction for the right price, steer well clear of the Eternia military for as long as possible, preferably avoid direct association with any rebel or paramilitary groups.
Other: Note, the GAF is only a plot device for Nitori\'s backstory. It was disbanded and prosecuted at the end of the civil war and Nitori has absolutely no interest in re-establishing it, as such action would likely link her with her known identity within the Eternia military. Also, \"Eternia\"
