Hi, i asked because the vertical missiles on the manticore are from turrets but it also uses 2 broadside missile arrays (port and starboard): sometimes i noticed a bug/glitch where the missiles fire straight forward regardless of cpu heading but i never could figure out when and why that happens... in theory (and most of the time for real) weapons fire in the direction the main weapon cpu is oriented.
hey I noticed they only fire straight when focus firing (left click), if I right click they fire vertical. Since now everything has 2 modes left click and right click, Hope that helps ya.

Hi! I've been on vacation

    done without symmetry mode :D

@BlackEyez : i would agree with the things @Cannibalistic Potato said... but i will do some testing myself. One other possibility could be the overdrive module connected to one of the weapons (cannons) because i tested that and maybe forgot to change it back before saving. The overdrive effect on the manticore was designed for defensive (more speed) use.
I see that you used the sand effect as a defensive system, good idea!

Ah, so it could be a glitch. Thanks for following up. It was driving me crazy, no matter which-way I oriented the CPU, they always fired forward. But that was pre most recent patch. Hope it's fixed now.

    Hi!

as posted above i started a new massive build and it is just pure fun :)
With the recent FTL addition and everything i am really motivated and have a lot of ideas for new ships (but sadly not nearly enough time...)

(infinite chain docking + future hyperdrive -> Guild Highliner from Dune etc.)

But back to the WIP which is now officially classified as Dreadnought (i couldn't resist after watching this)

The hull is coming along slowly but i want to take my time to get it right (i once scrapped the complete hull and started from the beginning). As this thing is pretty huge i have enough room for doing a somewhat believable interior and RP elements without compromising anything.

@Invadr : i retested again and maybe it is just pure luck but everything worked as intended...

Your ships never cease to amaze me. This dreadnought looks absolutely gorgeous so far. Thank you for blessing the eyes of galactic travelers everywhere. And giving me the power to destroy them all! Muahahahaha! Can't wait for you to finish yet another eater of worlds! :D

Making another smaller ship would be great, too. Because although I enjoy the intimidation and power of a behemoth, the thrills of space combat are the decisive maneuvers and a chance of death if the wrong move is made.

Hi, thanks! I have some ideas for a few smaller ships but i usually pack them with the titans (as the light corvette in the Prometheus), right now i really enjoy the work on big ships just because i can try different things and experiment.

Thinking of naming it Hyperion, that would fit with my other titans (and mythology)

    Is this Starmade?

Nah, can't be, so many details it's impossible. Too beautiful for that.

    No hiding place:

Turret concept for the Hyperion: lots of them. Besides the small defensive turrets and the 6 heavy gun turrets there will be a nice amount of trustworthy missile launchers for that extra overkill.

It also hit the credit cap and 5M blocks (as expected and planned). The next part will be one of the hardest: the engine section.

Are those going to be vertical-launch seekers in the slots on top?

So, the credit cap is at roughly 5 million normal priced blocks? That's actually very useful information that I didn't have. Thanks :P

Honestly a relative big portion of the cost comes from the jumpdrive and the turrets, so i would guess it is more around 7M blocks.

In case you ever wondered what happened to your Tengu Style ship.

I just finished the upgrades. It doesn't have effects (yet). In order to add a Jump Drive I added two wings with my Jump Drive Design attached to them. I also added a door to the hangar!

Greebles, greebles, greebles and even more greebles!

but also the interior is going toward completion

that is the big main deck with crew quarters and everything (you can also see the gravity transportation tubes that will bring you quickly to every part of the ship)
