Ladies and gentlemen, I wish to inform you that I will be resurrecting skid racing competitions on the NFD Build Server.
Basically, this is a resurrection of Azereiah 's 'crazier' form of racing, which in itself was a resurrection of Saber 's original concept, albeit with modifications.

Skid Regulations
- Mass Restriction: 4.7-5.3 mass (I recommend using a mixture of basic and standard armors to achieve this)
- One Push Effect Module attached to a Push Effect Computer, for thrust.
- It's also permissible to have One Pull Effect Module attached to a Pull Effect Computer for braking and reverse, although not necessary
- All other blocks are Cosmetics, Power Generation, and Logic/Rails.
- "Trickery" involving rail based flippers and other such shenanigans is permissible, as you have to be a pretty decent driver to use them effectively, and most are relatively easily countered.
- Skids must be under 5 meters wide and 11 meters long when all logic devices are turned Off. This is for the sake of keeping starting positions compact.
Track Regulations
- Tracks may be built on Planet Plates, as tracks require ship gravity to function.
- Tracks not including planets must be built using a planet-based base object, IE: The Track Base. Read on to find a download link for the base.
I personally recommend maintaining a track width of 15 meters wide minimum, to allow most skids to comfortably pass one another.
I also recommend adding Activation and Race Gates to the track, to allow for some interesting effects.

Track base located here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ljbf04bfu46ocbe/CustomPlanet.smsec
Track base must be placed in StarMade/sector-export.
Use the command, /import_sector, to import the track base. It is not a blueprint.
When your track is complete, use the command, /export_sector, to export your track to StarMade/sector-export.
I recommend using an alternate universe for working on tracks and such in case bad things happen to your universe.

Now for some eye-candy of some racers that have been restored to use
This disgusting racer is called the Prong and was the primary racer of the Trident team until the Bison came along. Has a pretty good speed and acceleration along with a front prong for flipping other racers.
The Dart-type Racer will be the standard issue racer to those who don't bring their own racer along. It has one hell of an engine, but not much else going for it.
The Trident team eventually used this racer, the Bison, as their new standard racer. It has a powerful engine and a large front for ramming, in addition to a flipper.
Captain Tankman's Neon Thunder
The Judge's shweg
Lecic's racer
Luna's Saanek-type
Azereiah's Health Hazard
Atra's Hornet
The_Owl's Arrowhead-type Racer
Simple Dragstrip: 400 metres of plain road, for determining who is really the fastest. WIP
