Potentially THE MOTHER OF ALL CORE ROOMS? :^D

This core room, built inside a work-in-progress titan, features dark, siberian-climate server rooms / gangways above a large pond of glowing-hot lava / lightnings striking all around from huge Tesla-coils / two giant wormhole generator capsules with an alluring bluish glow / many thick pipelines that resemble blood vessels / and a spider-like robot strapped into the middle to serve the function of a central quantum computer (the cyclops eye of which is the actual core block).

If you like it so far, please tell because, as always, the community feedback will be a major motivational force in this project, that will help fueling my workflow in this perhaps too ambitious challenge of building a titan with a full interior. I really want to finish this and get it out for you guys to have some fun exploring the many mysteries of its gigantic interior. It will be a roleplay/adventure oriented ship, similar to CrimsonArtist's famous "Lost Shangri La" station (as mentioned in my shipyard thread, check that out!)

    That is pure filth.

    I love it.

HOLY SHIT! My reactors are nothing compared to this. Time to increase my skill level. Good for me my actual titan has enough place inside to do something simliar, and I have two tries cause it has two reactors, not to mention the giant hall where the maincannon will beor the engine rooms. But first I have to finish the hull.

Nice work I want to say, those are stuff that inspire me to do my own stuff.

Thanks, I'm glad that it's appreciated!

I have these kind of moments too when the awesomeness of other's creations inspire me to go and start or continue work on my own projects.

So I'm happy to hear that my core room inspired you, have fun building! :^D

Screwing around with a new "reactor ready" Command System. As usual, I try to cram a city inside.

Smaller than my usual but sometimes less is more. The docking area can hold 4 ships measuing 70m x 45m x 30m.

The little tank mech patrols the perimeter for intruders. It will aim at any hostile astronaut the enters the station. It's mobile, to flush out campers so the rest of the security team can get a clear shot.

A true masterpiece... My only disappointment is that I can only give it one "like".

I won't be trying anything quite like that until they get this reactor update sorted out but for now, you're pretty much my gold standard for reactor rooms. (y)

Thanks very much, these approvals will really help me with continuing this project! Though I'd like to admit that in the case of this titan core room, I'm a little more guilty than usual of over-using symmetry planes and templates from previous projects. But in the end, I will agree, it turned out nicer than expected ;)

Thank you for the kind words, I'm really glad to hear that it's appreciated! To be fair, I think I worked on just this compartment for three days (because the ship it will be in, will feature a mini-quest with the final goal of reaching this room, so it had to be something extra nice).

But I would like to point out that this is actually just a core room / central computer room, with a separate dedicated power center being planned. I guess it goes without saying that the power center will be HUGE. With even more reactor towers, pipelines and lightnings striking all around!

Well, I can say the bar has increased substantially in height. Time to get working. ;)
Excellently done; I love that it's more than just a "core unit"; that it contains an entire system devoted to operating and upkeeping the core.

Thanks very much for the positive feedback! - I would have been more modest about it if it wasn't the result of three days of full-effort building (but I know for fact that there are lot's of other awesome core rooms out there that surpass this with merits lacking in mine, like realism or elegance).

And I know what you mean when writing that you love how there's a whole system keeping up the core. I'm a big fan of that kind of designs myself. When there's a lot of make-believe support machinery / functional details all around, one might get thoughts like "Nothing is fully autonomous; everything is interdependent; complexity was unavoidable and is necessary; things might go really wrong if anything fails; yet everything's still operating just fine; stuff cooperate effectively, but I don't know exactly how; the ship manages to keep itself and us alive against all the odds".

And these thoughts have the potential of evoking any combination of worry, gratitude, a sense of realism, mystery, awe, etc.

At least that's how I see it. I definitely like when a spaceship feels like an over-sized mechanical whale, the intricate inner functions of which provide the heat, pressure, breathable air, drinkable water, coverage and every other necessity for its crew in the cold of space. :)

Some classic medical bed interior, and a small shield generator prop for small stations. I am not too happy with the shield generator, it doesn't look like the source I tried to copy. But I think if I rework it in a bigger scale it might look good enough.

I think subtlety is for other people.
This is a pic of the main chamber (cathedral) on board of my titan.

And this is the interior of a cathedral on a station I am working on.

Beautiful work! - Hope we will see these uploaded one day and get a chance to explore them closer (y)
