Side and retro thrusters? Very well done, I haven't actually seen anyone do that yet. It also adds some great looking detail to your ship!

Working on it. That ship is actually a work in progress, and still lacks a lot of detail to break up all those flat surfaces (A skill I'm still working on).

he used blast doors with logic and light to cover the weapons.

and I think it may be inspired by my four level animated engine
(first level: engine are covered with plexdoor)

I was experimenting with low-tier space tech engines, and I've got this:

not bad has an industrial feeling to it. Two things I would comment on

• first the wedges without a normal block next to it give a rather sharp edge
• the thruster at the bottom, the bar that separates the thruster could use wedges too. All the other corners have them but those not

you made it like the wedges on the left. It is just a personal taste, but I find it to sharp an edge. Maybe try it like on the right?

The new (new(new(new))) engines mounted on the spacious booty of the Regent:

I dunno, they almost seem to be missing structural integrity; too thin where forces from the thrust would, er, rip the thrusters into pieces. Might implement a few bits of my sturdier battleship/battlecruiser thrusters tomorrow and see how that turns out.
