The two massive thrusters are slightly modified versions of thrusters I originally built for someone else's ship. Now I started a new build using them, ship is wip but thrusters are done.

Kinda, yes. It's considerably shorter than an ISD though.

Kinda low-effort and experimental, but I like it.

Those small engines with the 4-square-meter nozzle openings, and the slabs, feel a bit like wankery, but I do not utterly hate them for now.

Also, heads up guys, apparently you can now upload GIFs directly to SMD, and they seem to display nicely, on my end at least.

I'm still in partial disbelief over the fact that it was me who built these engines, and in only one sitting... But I guess the mandatory home isolation, plus a good-and-proper wicked music playlist explains it after all.

It's made up of 14 small, 5 medium, 8 large and 4 giant rocket engine pods, all crafted on the spot, no prebuilt templates this time.

And I'm not into cars, but I think if this "Watatsumi battlecruiser" project will keep on progressing like this, I might end up accidentally creating the Bugatti of StarMade warships

Finally got the detail density on the engines near where i want it to be.
Ship itself is gonna take a while to finish, for now this will have to do.

One of my most fruitful experiments in radical engine design.

It turned out particularly sleek and futuristic, with the narrow, slanted outputs being a natural continuation of the wing-like part of the hull, the forward ends of which are "nebular gas intakes".

The appealing green glow emitting from the white engines just asked for a startup animation:

Here are all seven ships of my recently finished Pleiades Fleet. A uniformly-styled, multi-role fleet that is perhaps most recognizable by the ships' exotic engine design.

The images below are arranged by size, in a descending order:

1. Destroyer (260m long flagship meant to be piloted by player)
2. Freighter (220m)
3. Passenger craft (180m)
4. Frigate (140m)
5. Corvette (100m)
6. Miner (60m)
7. Fighter (30m)

All these are to be released soon... Which one you think turned out the best?

I updated the engines in this a while ago, here's a more recent screenshot

I moved away from the previous style and decided to go with a few exposed thrusters which should generate plumes when the ship is actually moving, you can see a few of those on the rightmost engines
