AFAIKT, as long as you consider where your docking station is compared to your bubble, you should be good. Caveat the station has to have a bigger reactor then the ships docked to it...

Puritans... it's the default colour of the placeholder beams, waiting on weapons update before the guns are filled so I hadn't got around to changing them yet. EDIT: Fixed it just for you.

You could try some texturing or simply adding some other colors to the ships like another grey or black and they would look better. They look very plain and not in a stylistic kind of way.

Noted and thanks for your input but I disagree. eg http://bit.ly/2txoAvn Most 'classic' UFOs are like this. The saucers are meant to be a swarm ship. They are not meant to look flashy. The only thing that is meant to stand out is the emblem and even that I've tried to keep low key. Ease of mass construction was also top of my priorities when building this fleet, I only have to make one category of armour. KISS

However you can still see the horizontal lines of the armor on those ships. That is what I was going for, maybe change up the grey a little bit to give it a more assembled look instead of a casting. You can also use docked entities to make the emblem cleaner instead of having those jagged edges on the logo.
