The station i'm posting is a copy off a server that I played on in other words he is copying my station from the server before it was reset

I'm sorry you feel the need to continue to fabricate this story.

Even if you could prove it, which I highly doubt, I did come up with this design on my own. I've got about 40 different WIP's saved that I'd be happy to share which include features not found in the final station because they didn't fit and were removed during the creative process. I'm not going to speak to its originality since every idea is a copy of a copy and if you go back far enough. *Cough*

Furthermore, this thread isn't the place to be discussing the finer points of copyright infringement of non-material internet spaceships.

Buddy, I hate to rain on your parade but that's honestly like the most generic station design ever. The difference in this situation is the execution, in which case yours is better. Don't get your panties in a wad because someone else built a starbase.

I agree. The station is quite generic and it is very familiar looking. I have seen it somewhere before in some kind of concept art from an artist in DeviantArt. If I come around to seeing it again, I'll be sure to post a reference link.

I look at lots of concept art for inspiration; and by lots I mean enough to occupy hours of my time! I highly recommend checking out the ConceptShips blog for anyone in the market for new ship / station ideas.

Or maybe he is taking longer to add more detail, your logic of i did it first therefore it is mine is flawed. He put out pictures first showing it and had a more complete version livestreamed. so if he is copying why is there more of it and to a better quality? granted great minds think alike but accusing the other person of plagiarism (especially when they are a master builder) is ludicrus. if you had admitted they were similar you should have gone with that not dig yourself a hole. since you like talking so much bull, how about i pull your tongue out through uranus so that you can finally talk where the word are coming out. To be completely Honest, I would have to agree with Comr4de and Kiwi. While the Colouring and details are Nice, The old DEFAULT stations are also fairly similar, with the Disc on top and 4 Directional Hangers. I find it's actually quite likely that some people just copied an old standard stations and fancied it up. I dunno, but seems like something I would do.

Your's may look very nice Dalmont, but its about as original as a Chair with 4 legs. But Quite honestly, I'd agree it's high time to shut up about it.
This isnt a thread for old nannies to gossip, if there is a complaint, sent it to a Mod/Calbiri and such, and have them deal with it.
Of Course, I doubt anyone would be the bigger man, so I doubt this will end without direct Mod intervention. Much Toxicity.

Yours is a direct ripoff of an existing star-made creation, with parts pulled from everywhere including my own mind, please stop justifying yourself and get on topic.

Also Phoenix. At this point I'm more annoyed that you think insults will get you anywhere. It has been stated before, and there is proof on this thread, that Dalmont posted pictures of his station BEFORE you submitted your link. Therefore, you can't say you "got there first". Try and understand that.

Second, you're being very un-freindly towards dalmont. Even if dalmont doesn't want you to take his design, he didn't call you names and even said that the votes will decide in the end. He doesn't care at this point. You're only making a fool of yourself.

Lastly, and this is to everyone else. The problem isn't about coming up with an original design. Sure dalmonts station may be "somewhat regular". Instead of ripping on him for it, how about we critique? Positive feedback? Personally, its a great improvement over the current station. The real issue is that a second person came along with the same design. That person couldn't be bothered to make a similar, yet different design. They plainly copied it. This arguing shouldn't be about originality. That's not where this problem comes from. It comes from blatant plagiarism.

TLDR - If you are going to argue, then argue about the right thing.

I didn't mean to come across as rude; in fact, here is one of the more obvious references I used, barring the default station of course! Which this was made to resemble by design.

Edit 2: Here is a link to one of my ships using similar design elements to the station. So its not a new theme for me either. Unoriginal though it is purported to be.

I think it does not look like a prison with all that glass.

If prisons don't try to magically re-integrate peoples in social life by keeping them completely separated from it, who cares about the security of prisoners?
And where do the peoples life?

Even if it is going to be an automated prison, it needs psycho-docs and mechanics who don't want to life in a completely boring environment - maybe they use private car-sized ships to visit their families? Then you need docking ports
