What if I told you the reactor below apparently has Stabilizer groups on 5 different dimensions and 133% stabilization (100% and 33% buffer) as compared to 62% stabilization when the reactor axes has not been rotated to a specific setting?
Something needs to be done.
(As a proof of...
So this is a template for a starting reactor. This mostly resembles a power reactor for the Venator Class Star destroyer from star wars because that is what it was inspired by. It has four power reactor chambers and a mobility chamber but since it can be used with stations just take out the...
In the newest piece of news they introduced these blocks which direct the new beam the reactor gives off to the stabilizer. These node blocks are very finnicky. If you have a chain of nodes meant to redirect the beam, they must be connect to both the node closer to the stabilizer and the node...
So stabilizers seem kinda arbitrary. Instead of stabilizers, we could give the function to all system groups (weapons, shields, ect.) so that they have to be separated from the reactor. Basically like the old "heat box" proposal *I saw nothing wrong with that idea*.
This would still force...
Title says it all gentlemen, instead of having the "stabilizers" off on the other end of your ship, we can preserve continuity of the vessel and have the power make some sort of sense to players by having the things that are supposed to be stabilizing the reactor well, right up against the...
the idea is simple :
reactor blocks are unstable, exactly like the curent auxilliary power and have a small efficiency malus
stabilizer reduce the unstability of reactor blocks. with the perfect amount they negate the unstability and the efficiency malus
With that mechanic you could have a...
