I definitely agree with this. SMedit isn't as easy to use as you might think. Really SMedit will build you a ship to give you inspiration and a general guideline, but there is still lots of work to do before it becomes a 'good' ship.

While I've been building the regular grey (and other color) hulls will change their face directions, so after I've built half a station with all the faces going X way now they are going Y way, screwing up the aesthetic. You can't change their directions so I can't fix it.

Interiors are for chumps :P. I am trying to get the exterior done and then will work on the interior. Although, I have finished pretty much all the outside at this point so I guess next I'll start the interior and add the roof and do the underside.

Since the Orion is fanon it doesn't have an official size, although I'd estimate it at 800-900m. Mine is 250m though.
