Well thought out idea. I definitely like the thought of treating temperature as a real thing in starmade, but i think this might create more performance issues. I really like the thought though if it can be done and isn't made "too hardcore."

If you've ever worked with 3d max for rendering 3d objects, you will definitely understand the appeal in this idea. This is a golden idea if it can be done.

This would be really neat. I think they may already have some functionality coming to custom block configs. I know you can add custom block configs, but I haven't figured out how it works yet, or if it's even functional yet, but it does appear that this is already in the works.

Definitely for this. Added cheats will be very useful for having some crazy rp battles with a few friends. I can already see the wheels turning in my head.

I think I agree with the OP for the most part. Maybe add a radiation shield to the game that will allow you to go under solar damage for a while but uses tremendous amounts of power, so you eventually have to move.

In relation to this idea, I think it's awesome first of all, but I think it should be more open. I think species that have close enough genomes should be able to breed and create half species and mixes. They must have a % match requirement, so for instance if 50% of their genomes match, they...

Out of curiosity, when you say that implementing a brown light would take up two blocks and three texture slots does that mean there is a programmed limit to the number of ids that can be assigned? There must be a way around this limitation if so, and whatever the means I would push for...

In the thread here, Gyro Dampeners, I was talking about adding a braking device to the game, I think this will accomplish a similar end, but I do tend to agree with you that LShift should slow you as fast as thrust.

I think we need this in addition to a player/AI based exchange of some sort. This will allow for tons of fun game play just delivering goods, especially for newer players.

Sounds great to me definitely need shit to be shot at people. What could we ever do without poop. :p
