      Rail Guns a New Aproch

While this is an old idea, suggested to death, I see no particular reason not to implement this if enough people like the idea for it to be worthwhile. I would use it. It would be particularly interesting if different types of ammunition could be swapped out instead of attaching effects like...

      The Current State of Weapons

There's no disagree button, so consider this my declaration of disapproval. But... I like my machine pistol!

      Cube Planets

Schema's issue with cube planets was gravity. With the segmented planets, it wouldn't seem to be that much trouble to change generation from 12 to 6 segments.I personally would be very happy with cube planets and probably just stop wishing for spheres and start building cool stuff that wraps...

      Cube Planets

I never suggested removing dodecahedrons. I would, however, like the option of a cube. Okay, that is a legitimate concern, and I do agree. I don't think it's unsolvable, though. If gravity as I envision it works properly, you would step off of one block, rotate, and be standing on that same...

      Cube Planets

Please state a possible problem. Your objection is far more speculative than my idea. I have anticipated and addressed a wide variety of problems. You have provided no examples to back up your point. I don't mind you disagreeing with me, but please do so with something concrete. Good...

      Cube Planets

I addressed this problem and suggested a good solution for it. Okay, here's a valid argument. The question is not whether cube planets are a good idea. They are, and some players will see them as a dream come true. I don't think they're ideal and would prefer large, unsegmented planets that...

      Cube Planets

Cube planets have properties that dodecahedrons can never have. If done properly, it is possible to build a road over the edge and make it look good. I'm sure Schema thought of this before, but some of the issues with dodecahedrons were unanticipated. You are the reason I suggested making...

Brainstorm This Perfect turning system - no half-assed solution

I would really like to see this system implemented. People have been asking for something like this, but no one had come up with a good way to make it feasible. Hopefully this is indeed possible. It's a world better than a mass-based turning system and also solves the problem of weird...

      On the Subject of Planets

I would also be quite happy with planets that are solid, seamless cubes. I smell potential problems if they include curves/block distortion though. Remember that everything you build would also be distorted, and space ships wouldn't line up well. The problem with cube planets is gravity...

      Cube Planets

The idea of a cube-shaped planet seems promising and would solve at least one of the major complaints about the current dodecahedron planets. However, this possibility seems to be receiving very little attention. As such, I made an additional thread for it. Please use this thread to discuss...

      On the Subject of Planets

I actually had an idea that could solve most of the issues associated with such a system. I didn't think all of it up myself - it's essentially a compilation of my and other's ideas into one coherent system. I'd really like to know if any of this is possible, as it is different from the...

      Rail Guns a New Aproch

It's a cool idea, but sadly it seems to have no place in the current state of the game.

      Map with coordinates

If you press "shift" after pressing p, a 3d map appears. You can rotate it by dragging right click and move the cursor with wsad. It doesn't show any coordinates OR your ship's heading though, making it next to impossible to use for navigation. The fact that you and so many others couldn't...

      Map with coordinates

I hope it's released soon. The current map is miserable. The general idea is good, but the information that you can get out of it is next to null.

      On the Subject of Planets

As stated before, we do need to find a good solution to the issue of overhanging objects for 3d mapping to look good. Any ideas for this?

Implemented Save player relative to ship upon logout

Ah, but good sir, you assume that there is another ship in reach with both jump drive and stop weapons potent enough to halt the runaway ship. That may not be the case. Also, yes, you can make your own artificial space friction with a logic clock and defensive stop effects.

      Crystals - Glow and Wedges

There are a lot of relatively easy things to be done to the game that would add so much to it.

Implemented Save player relative to ship upon logout

The bunks sound cool, but I still think the guy standing in the hallway should save to the ship. That said, I think the astronauts should stay visible (without the nav icon) in their beds while logged out. The bunks would then add a way to keep the avatar in-game when the player is not, which...

A Wiki editor is asking you! Now 100% more dormant!

I can't even figure out how to edit anything on here. http://wiki.star-made.org/Special:AllPages I'm not a major wiki-editing person, but I would like to contribute a little here and there.

      Why is there no wiki?

It is extremely difficult to find coherent, up-to-date information on starmade. Most information regarding the formulae and mechanics behind everything is gleaned from fragments of information dropped by devs here and there, and from the Starmade site news feed. I find it curious that there is...
