You will most likely need to cleanly install to get the new universe stuff. Nothing major will change, its just a restructure of the stars into galaxies. You can save your station and load it in again at the proper time.
See thats why I don't like the whole "the wanted individual hands you money" thing. Its a non traditional way of bounty hunting. It WOULD be easier to just make it a hit list. Actually at that point I would separate those two types of system there. A hit list that costs lots of money to take...
Why are you saying I am asking for a hit list. You're putting words in my mouth. You stated that you wanted people with bounties on their heads to be capturable. This is what I was talking about. Where does killing come in with my question? I wanted to know if "good" players could place bounties...
One ship cloaking another? Thats a bit OP. Even with high power demands, cloaking should be a system that needs to be placed in the structure that will end up using it. Invisible shots sounds boring and honestly potentially aggravating. Doesn't add anything to gameplay really.
Yes but in the space genre it specifically is tied to machines that shut down the jump/warp capabilities of ships as we have seen it used so in so many other sci fi universes. Its already been confirmed by the devs to be a feature.
This is actually a brilliant idea. I'm down for this. I will pretty much never use cloakers or jammers because of the power cost and the number needed. But I think if the cloaker had a hard cap that had to be reached, like that 10% or higher, then it would be viable.
I remember my first salvage ship which was a brick. Then someone told me it sucked. As if I didn't know (It was parked next to a ship that I actually put effort into). but back then there were few people making things as epic as what we get today.
Then multiple problems need to be addressed. What is to stop the player from suiciding during capture. Also, if a player is captured and restrained somehow, what happens when the bounty collector logs off?
