I am wondering, what specific plans did you have in mind for streamers? Were you going to get them to produce content, showcase games etc? I know there are a few people that are a part of this community that stream a variety of indie titles very often.
The locked doors issue has been brought up but schema may have forgotten. Idk but I told him directly. Interactions with the trading guild will be more in depth in the future. Not sure about being able to damage trade stations.
Glad you like the station :D
Probably at least a month depending on it's complexity, amount of details and internal design. You could wireframe that Ragnarok up there in like 2 or 3 days at the most. But for something that isn't so plain it could take you a week.
In terms of what the game is capable of handling, I would say going beyond 5 km long has the chance to break anyone's computer.
I spawned in an imported model of the Aeon from EVE online. You'll see a screenshot of the ship as well as one indicating where I was. This ship not only couldn't be...
I don't really see how hiding weapon in a doom cube is any different than hiding weapons behind nice aesthetics. Either way they can shoot through the ship. Forcing a player to expose their guns doesn't discourage me from building in a cube. Poke the barrel out of that cube and hardly anything...
600 meters applies to anything. I say 600 because that was the limits of the station contest we had a while back for stations currently in game. It may well be certainly acceptable to build over 1 kilometer in length if the server allows it. I'd just ask.
Death cubes are ships shaped as a cube...
Other parts of the game are being worked on right now. Calbiri already stated his opinions on ship to planet mining (he doesnt seem to like it). If that has any influence on this then I am sure we will see planets take the focus of a major update.
I'm not really sure how leg inducing turrets are. I've never seen anything terrible come about from extensive use. I wouldn't built anything over 600 meters long unless they have other size regulations.
It's only creative in singleplayer or if you own the server. Otherwise the multiplayer aspect is leaning towards survival. I personally can't wait for suvival aspects of the game to come out.
Chances are rotating decoration are in mind for this feature.
Personally I want to use them so I can make this in game. http://gfycat.com/SociableGraveEquine
On top of what you suggested. I would like to see systems influence each other more. Right now the only concern for placing a weapon system for example is power and space. What if systems had positive or negative effects on one another. These influences could be based on this soft cap thing...
People told me to build a bar on the Dragoon. HEEELLLL no. That's a combat vessel. Expect plenty of RP rooms dedicated to combat vessels. On the larger ships then it would be more acceptable to have a recreational area such as that. Plebians >_>
I wouldn't want to force a player to build weapons at a specific size. That takes away from what this game is. I would rather give the pros and cons for the amount of weapons they place. With a change such as the one I proposed, there would be massive amounts of unused space on ships (if the...
Alrighty. I am posting this here to showcase some visual evidence for what I stated earlier. There are tweaks that I would make to the changes showcased in the video. DO NOT expect this to be a perfect solution. There are still issues but I have already addressed a few. I will be making a...
Pretty sure battlestar galactica could take on nuclear warheads from cylon basestars full force with just it's hull. It never had any shielding. That series was rooted in a more realistic science fiction universe. They relied on point defense and fighters to fend off enemies.
I have absolutely no idea as to what you are talking about. Where did this blending of a cube come from? Turrets can already rotate seamlessly. The easiest way to explain rails is to demonstrate it as if it were a turret. Imagine the turret is attached to a rail (as it is with a module) and it...
That is some old news right there. Of course some of these things still happen such as facing a fleet after firing at a shop. But I have not truly seen pirates patrol sectors of space. I hardly see pirates at all anymore. Maybe that's just me and my settings.
