Things that are over 1km long are generally considered titans. 2km is just completely unrealistic (if it's not only plain hull). A dreadnought would be more in the 700-800m area imho

Would a prison station be ok as a neutral station? Either up and running or abandoned (jailbreak?). And it wouldn't be a boring station either. I'd just love to see randomly generated creatures in the cells. That and a big medical facility (also as neutral). Do they absolutely have to look...

Oh hell yes, that's all I have to say.

As Redfredrick said, a basic but nice design. Needs more color variation, though, since 100% grey is kind of dull. Adding some turrets visual armor plates (seams) would help alleviate the flatness of some surfaces :D

UPDATE #10 Finished the Hull on the wings (YAY), no detail as of yet but it will come (eventually). I also changed the first pictures in the OP to reflect the changes. Please keep in mind that the shields/wings are NOT DETAILED YET :p Edit: Also forgot to mention that there are no wedges.

How are ships that size all battle cubes??? A battle cube is a ship that is specifically cubic since it's easier to make and maximises the stats (or it's just a borg cube). The fact that an entire ship isn't completely filled with interiors doesn't make it some copy pasted noob ship...

lol, it's especially made to serve as cannon fodder and taking out small targets (since turrets are garbage). But you have a good point, this one was also for use a a transport by me :P. I'll try to make a more visually pleasing version (it WILL slash the stats, though).

:( It actually looks much much much better ingame. And it's pretty hard to add detail to something that size (it has around 70 mass). It could probably look better but it would really compromise performance (trust me, I tried) :p

UPDATE 9: This is the most recent iteration of the oblivion drone that is to be installed en masses on the Charon. It features double missile turrets, a freeze beam, extremely powerful back mounted vertical lock-on missiles and overdrive :D . Edit: added the correct images :p

Yep, built it last year! Printing out the charon is something that I'd really like to do but the export function on smedit is borked and it would be a task in itself to calibrate the printer for something like this :P

Hi I'd just like to let everyone know that I haven't died and that I'll soon start working on this thing again. I just repaired my 3D printer and had some fun printing stuff with it. Now that it's all sorted out I'll be continuing progress on this ship.
